decided to do a small doodle of periss!! this is based on the info provided about him from the book, and a little bit of my own headcanon!!

he kinda reminds me of my harengon rouge dnd character from a year ago lol

i haven’t drawn a dousan gelfling yet and i decided the easiest way to fix that was to not only draw ten mermaid gelfling in a coral reef for mermay, but to also pick two dousan that have zero reference photos and maybe a sentence of description each. i make great decisions

i did try to base each clan on different fish, so from right to left we have: tavra = blue jade crab, onica = squid, seladon/brea = flying fish, kylan = tiger shark, erimon/periss = lionfish, gurjin/naia = brown bullhead catfish, amri = wild green axolotl, rian = green peacock betta fish

thanks to @albanenechi for the references (everyone but seladon and onica), i would not have been able to finish this in time without them

The thought that we'll never get to see what happens with the Age of Resistance hurts.

The thought that characters like Brea, Kylan, Naia, Gurjin, Rian, Seladon, Deet and Re'kyr wont get new scenes, new dialogue, new arcs and plots. Hurts.

The thought that we won't see Amri or Periss from the books. Hurts.

And I will always hate Netflix for it.
