In which Jason is the underground street dancer trying to make something of himself, Dick is the classically trained aerialist with a secret hip-hop alter ego, and perissologist is the fic writer who puts her blood, sweat, and tears into figuring out how to describe choreography in a way that sounds natural–a.k.a., the dance AU of your god damn dreams.

For what it’s worth: Not really ballet centered but a very good dance fic nonetheless. (There’s definitely ballet in it though)

I enjoy fics that lean into the supernatural circumstances of Jason's resurrection. This one deals with the aftermath in a cosy, quotidian setting with a dash of Batfam dynamics and makes for a pleasant read.

This fic haunts me. It's the best characterization of Dick I have ever read, in 200-odd pages of AO3, and Jason's POV is so full of unwritten longing, it hurts. Sometimes I'll be reading something else, and I'll recall the sentences. I love every single interaction there. If I had any drawing talents, I'd draw a comic for it. So good.

Coming back from the dead has some side effects, not just the emotional trauma kind of side effects, but paranormal ones as well. Too bad Dick's too busy making doe eyes at Jason to notice them, and Jason's too hurt by that to notice the doe eyes. It's a whole lot of misunderstandings between the two of them that need clearing up.

Slow Dancing on The Rooftop by emotionalcello 

“Do you hear music?” Jason asked.

And an idea popped in his head, “Yup!” Dick smiled, jump right up to stand.

He could see Jason’s mouth gaped open when Dick bows and extend a hand towards Jason.

“May I have this dance, sir?” Dick said pretty shamelessly, and even more surprisingly, Jason takes the hand in the heartbeat.

“Why the fuck not.” Dick pulls Jason up to stand.

Two vigilantes slow dancing on the rooftop to slow jazz music after patrol. Dick loves this through and through, and Jason is half drunk, or so he said. With their hands together and gently swaying, the words they kept close glides out easily that night.

For what it’s worth: Very good fic, actually in the middle of a series so maybe go to the beginning and read all of it. It doesn’t quite fit but it does include dancing.

Feeling Good by Anonymous 

Jason Todd followed a lead that took him to a strip club where he met a very special dancer.

For what it’s worth: Doesn’t quite fit if you’re looking for an au but it’s pretty cute even if it involves Dick pretending to be a stripper (which is amusing)

Yours, Mine and Ours by orphan_account 

Jason was just living his life normally as a bartender in the heart of gotham. his life was mostly normal until he saw someone he never seen for the last 5 years.

For what it’s worth: Dick’s a stuntperson so it counts, right? This series is so wonderful, I just love it.
