Delicious Indonesian snacks called Perkedel Tahu, or Tofu Fritters, are made from mashed tofu combined with eggs, garlic, green onions, and spices. These fritters make a great snack or side dish because they have a crispy outside and a soft inside.
Ingredients: 400g tofu, mashed. 2 eggs, beaten. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 green onions, finely chopped. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. 1 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp ground white pepper. Oil for frying.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine mashed tofu, beaten eggs, minced garlic, chopped green onions, all-purpose flour, salt, and ground white pepper. Mix well. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Take a spoonful of the tofu mixture and shape it into small patties. Fry the tofu patties in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
