something i never thought would happen while playing pokemon violet, is me growing super attached to this psychic slightly eldritch marionette abomination right here:
i LOVE espathra sHE IS SO INTIMIDATING. like, i saw her in the list of new pokemon and was like 'hmm, that's an interesting idea, okay', then i caught a flittle and was blindsided by hOW CUTE DAT WIDDLE BALL OF FLUTTERING CLOTH IS.
and then she evolved.
and i saw the pokedex description about how espathra run really fast and i was like "oh so they really are like land-bound large birds like ostriches, that's pretty nifty." but i didn't realize how big and FAST they actually are in the overworld... um... THEY'RE REAL FAST OMG. you are not out-running that monstrosity on foot. You either get on your poke-buddy-vehicle and pray, or you get ready to have to fight this angry mind-distorting cloth demon.
ALSO she reminds me of my childhood where i had a period of time obsessing over puppet storks/cranes/long-necked birbs.
i like her, she cute.
