Poor sap. He’s got no idea what he’s gotten himself into with the elementals. I feel kinda bad for the kid, bad enough that I returned the rings I borrowed. That’s a one time deal though, honest.

 Clownboss (Perrin) 

Some things are just too good to be true. A relaxed, confident boss who doesn’t stink of ambition and greed. A guy who’s equal-opportunity enough to hook up with a void-possessed partner. Sure, the corruption is still there but he keeps it low key. I’m good with that. I’d better enjoy it while it lasts, cause someone like that just isn’t gonna survive bureaucracy. Wonder what he’s gonna do when he gets fired…

Taji, about Marvik: "Aw, I always like talking with Marv. He’s got a way of making you feel like your problems are a million malms away. Probably because he’s so easy to throw across the lawn, in the exact way my problems are not! This little art venture of ours is gonna be fun, though.”

Perrin: "So what did you do? What did you do to get in so deep? You seem like the deal type... So what did you trade for? Because clearly it wasn't worth it. You might be in an even worse position than me; I can at least run and hide again if I must."
