Things children say.
My 6&1/2 year old daughter today told me~
“When I was little you told me that trees help people to breathe. I thought it meant that each person got one tree for all their life, their one tree that helped them to breathe and kept them alive and when the person died they became a tree to keep the next person alive. I now know that this is not true and I am so disappointed. If people each had one tree they needed to breathe, they would take a lot better care of where they lived.. I still want to be a tree after I die I can give people oxygen and they can have picnics under me. If you become a tree when you die, I will visit every day and have picnics with you.”
I will never not be surprised by her.
