Ok so MY iron lung takeaway that I haven’t seen anyone mention yet is this:
So, the monster seems to be collecting people and making them part of the blood ocean/itself. The fact that it’s human blood, that when Ava dies her voice becomes part of the chorus, all that. We’ve all remarked upon that a bunch on here already.
The thing I want to point out is a small line I noticed that stuck out to me. At one point when Simon is asking why he has to do this, why they’re using him, Ava says “You’re earning your place in the consolidation.” And I just thought that was interesting. Because in a sort of way, he did just that. He became a part of the consolidation of all things.
