this weekend there are cultural heritage activities in Chile (this is basically a big national festivity where museums are open for free and lots of historical buildings and institutions that are not open to the public normally, do guided tours and share stuff). so i went with my besties to participate in the tour through the oldest side of our oldest emergency hospital (hospital de urgencias asistencia pública, ex posta central) and it was so fun >w<

we got to see their pathology lab + the equipment for autopsies, the blood bank, we got to find out our blood type, got to see the dummies used for training and an explanation of the equipments used for ICU patients, visited their historical archive and the old heliport (this was the first public hospital in Chile to have one!) and there we learned how to do CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator :3

the CPR training also served to show how tiring it is to do compressions: we did it for 2 minutes with a song to help us keep rhythm and it was both fun and exhausting. I really hope I never have to use this knowledge but at least now I know x'D (that poor dummy surely died on me bc for the last 20 seconds i wasn't able to push that deep anymore!)

the song they used was one by bad bunny, which of course made it extra fun (and the guys doing the training were hilarious and very encouraging, it was a really fun experience!)

places i want to visit in the future for the guided tours: La Reina nuclear reactor (it opened one year and they have not done it again 😭 the reactor is used for medical stuff and i was dying to go ;u;); the catholic and the general cemetery; two other hospitals that are really old; and honestly the list is too long. there's lots of fascinating places in Santiago!

when i'm not depressed and killing myself at work (hopefully in a few months when i either quit or get fired) i am gonna finally finish scanning my magazines and other ephemera. i had a whole website for it a few years ago and it's just so time consuming then work has made me in a chronic state of wanting to die. i've wasted so much time miserable about work and the rest of my stupid life, it's not worth it.

i have two issues of breakfast without meat i need to scan (i did one but i wanna do a better job) and an issue of apology magazine with a cute tim and eric interview that i'm unsure is online. i have a bunch of neil records i wanted to scan the covers for and update on RYM, i've already submitted a few. and i have like 100 japanese movie pamphlets. idk why i'm writing this here i just need to affirm to myself that i'm gonna do something. also people sharing cool stuff here is inspiring ;; i have to not die so i can help.
