Bit About Me:
You can call me Four.
She/Her
Writer who wishes she could draw/paint, so I live vicariously through my talented artist mutuals.
Currently playing / fixated on / stuff you might see here: Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, Warframe, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, + various others.
Follow at your peril. It's a mess in here, much like my brain. I reblog shit I like or find interesting (including NSFW18+) and wish I could say my tags are organized. I also sometimes Tumblr while high. You have been warned. Mostly, I try to not take fandom too seriously and am here to vibe.

Mongrel Hearts / Read on Ao3
Current Rating: E
Updates: Monthly
Heinrix van Calox is a watchdog of the Inquisition. Bound by duty and fueled by a deep-seeded shame, he continues to serve the Imperium the only way he’s ever been allowed, on the tight line of a leash. Obedient and steadfast, Heinrix has always been eager to prove himself. And yet, no amount of accolades or praise will ever assuage him from feeling like a vile cur, simply grateful to not have been put down.
Visenya von Valancius is a void wolf. Forced by circumstance into an existence where she has had to fight for every breath, she dreams of freedom from the tireless hunters who stalk her footsteps and seek her ruin. Thrust once more into a life she did not ask for, Visenya must now lead those who once saw her as nothing more than a mongrel.
Both are strays in a war-torn galaxy, simply seeking a place to belong.

Little moments in time featuring my Crime Lord RT, Visenya. These are in chronological order.
Hello My Demise: An incident in the Lord Captain's chambers on Janus concludes with Heinrix and Visenya sharing a moment of levity.
You Feel It Too: Heinrix and Visenya share a close moment before her Magnae Accessio.
Twist Into Your Shape: To the bewilderment and intense relief of Heinrix van Calox, Rogue Trader Visenya von Valancius has returned from Commorragh. Alive. Unable to restrain himself from seeking a private audience with the Lord Captain, Heinrix's attempt to understand what happened unfurls into a night that has been too long in coming for the both of them. Now, as morning breaks, the Lord Captain and Interrogator must navigate their new relationship as they look towards a future where nothing is certain.
Endless: Heinrix van Calox has not slept since the Rogue Trader was ghosted away to Commorragh, relying on stimms and his own biomantic abilities to push his body past its limits in order to lead a ceaseless search for Visenya von Valancius. Her safe return, however, does little to quell his anxieties. Rather than resting, Heinrix opts to keep vigil every night as Visenya sleeps. But even biomancers have limits, and Heinrix reaches his one evening in the Lord Captain's study.
Stay: (E NSFW18+) A heated conversation turns into a night of passion between Heinrix and Visenya. However, in the darkness of the night that follows, Heinrix is unable to escape the fears and anxieties that push in on him from all sides.
Remedy for the Hurt: (E NSFW18+) A game of regicide takes a tantalizing turn when the Lord Captain decides she's fed up with losing.
Flying Whales: (Non-OC Fic / Written for RT Women's Week) Long after their mutual time in service to the Lord Captain has passed, Idira pays a visit to Novator Cassia of House Orsellio.

In on the Joke: After resetting the year back to the beginning of 1999, Drifter must introduce themselves to the other unfortunates who now share their time loop.
Feeding the Gods: (Chapters: 2/2) It's been several months since Drifter arrived in 1999, colliding with the Hex and setting into motion schemes in which they are all unwitting pawns. In that time, Drifter has come to realize that while Höllvania may be lousy with techrot, it also has its upsides. Some of which may be worth sticking around for.
Speak Now or Hold Your Tongue: Drifter can't recall a time when they weren't haunted by nightmares, often waking to the voices of ghosts from the depths of fretful sleep. Always alone—until one night they wake with Arthur at their side.
i've been thinking about how it's so easy to get lost on tumblr with the mindset of like "everyone in the fandom has friends and it's only me who feels lonely" because you see all these friend groups around you and it feels very isolating sometimes. i want everyone to know that a LOT of people feel this way on tumblr (including me). i have days where i go online and i just feel very lonely like everyone doesn't want to talk to me and i'm being ignored. basically i'm making this post because i want y'all to know that it's not just you and i want to give all of you a big big hug
Initial thoughts on the Warframe F&F campaign under the cut now that we've come to the final day:
So, that was something. I think what's most striking to me is the difference in quality between the KIM chat and everything else surrounding the chat. For the amount of effort and detail that obviously got put into the F&F characters, the setting and the vibes of the update, I was pretty surprised by how little F&F play was actually in the campaign chat.
I was excited when it looked like they would lean into the KIM system, and envisioned maybe some one-off chats with Amir as the Fablemaster. Or, perhaps, some group chats where the party tries to scheme without the Fablemaster having eyes on things. The KIM system provides a really neat platform for storytelling, and yet it felt like it was given barely any thought.
Lastly, Amir's characterization was just strange. Drifter and Amir have had some pretty intense conversations about trauma and fears, and for Amir to use what is obviously one of Drifter's darkest traumas as the basis for a cartoonish villain in a tabletop game feels very OOC. And then to put that little jab at the end about Amir not actually liking being a Fablemaster? After how excited he was when you get everyone to play? After he put that little one-off together for Drifter? After people reset their games to try to ensure they got all the Hex members to join the game? That almost felt like DE saying, "Don't expect anymore of this."
Other than the KIM chat, this update has been fantastic. Unfortunate that was the thing that fell short.

Thinking about my Drifter and how they start to assign meaning to the items they carry when they travel and are away from the people they care about:
A silver chain necklace with a mood ring that Arthur gave them (they don't wear rings often because it messes with their grip).
An anklet with a music note charm from Aoi.
A tammpet named Sidro that Quincy brought back from patrol.
A D20 Amir gave them to use in their first F&F campaign.
A name tag for Jackal's kubrow collar from Lettie.
A pocket notebook from Eleanor that they use to track dates/time, as well as other important notes during their journeys (I have a headcanoned conversation where Eleanor and Drifter discuss how physically writing things down helps with memory).
All of them are little reminders of who they are and who they love—warding off indifference so they never forget themselves again.

The biggest “your experiences are not universal” thing I feel is whenever anyone talks about the universality of girls planning their weddings since childhood because. Well. Not me. God bless
