When it comes to aasimar I think I personally prefer a more human looking appearance with subtle celestial features, over the really dramatic, extra eyes, feathers, and giant spinning halo of thorns, basically full blown angel look that would probably frighten or upset others. In my head a more subtle look makes more sense for what aasimar are: fully mortal humans with a celestial spark in them. A half-celestial would be an entirely different, way more powerful and probs angel-like being.
Corporeal wings on aasimar especially is a thing I don’t really get, considering that a protector aasimar’s Special Ability is that once per day, when unleashing the full extent of their divine power, they can uphold a pair of incorporeal wings for 1 minute. A game mechanic where they only get the power to use their existing wings when their Radiant Soul thing is in effect I can kinda understand but..? Yee, winged aasimar are really not my thing tbh.
But ye it’s all just a matter of how individual players and groups choose to interpret what races are like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I enjoy discussing it tho.
One concept I find kinda funny tho is a protector aasimar who thinks they have wings, and behaves and moves like they have maneuver around a pair of large wings. Like if they’re reaching for something on their back, they’ll lift their arm in a high arc as if they’re lifting it over their wing, and when they wanna put their hands on their hips, the hands will hover a bit above the hips like they’re resting on a pair of folded wings. :’D No other person can see or touch them though. Only when they use Radiant Soul, the imaginary wings will be visible for other people to see.
in conclusion...
both white supremacy AND white guilt are ruining everything for the rest of the world...
So it's impossible to tell if it's actually a bad show, or if it's being nitpicked because of the reviewers personal politics...as I said virtue signaling is a thing now amongst critics.
Regardless.. I would never let a critic decide what I do and don't watch & enjoy.
At this point idec what tumblirinas said anymore...so screw it!
Waiting for the 17th is gonna be a long ass wait.
sorry guys i hate to break it to you... the 1975 sucks....
I don't wanna sound like a dweeb but on IMDB it lists Robert Maillet as S. Kaidanovsky and Heather Doerksen as A. Kaidanovsky and it's just like SASHA IS A GUYS NAME TOO IN RUSSIAN LIKE ITS A NICKNAME FOR ALEXANDER/ALEXANDRA SO IT GOES BOTH WAYS AND EVEN THEN IT'S LIKE JUST B/C SASHA SOUNDS LIKE A FEMININE NAME IN ENGLISH DOESN'T MEAN IT'S THE SAME IN RUSSIAN??? AND SAME GOES FOR ALEKSIS. LIKE THIS IS CONFUSING AF but is IMDB right? Cause the pacific rim wikia says different and obvi the fandom does too
