My niece has returned from her holiday trip, and the first thing she asks after getting her breakfast, “DuckTales?”

She grabs my hand to lead me to the living room where she’ll eat breakfast and watch DuckTales.

It’s also a game of identifying the triplets and other characters. She really loves Webby. 

“Who’s that?” (Huey)

“...Webby!” (Sees Webby in the scene)

“No, what color is he wearing.” (Still Huey)

“Red!”

She knows Dewey, Donald, and Scrooge. When she says Donald it comes out DONA DUCK. It’s cute.

I don’t post a lot of my personal crap up here, but um...went into my school email...crap I gotta fill out my graduation forms for next semester.

I feel like Donald Duck right now.

Niece loves Moana. I’m serious when I say Moana is this generation’s Lion King. In narrative power, it’s this generation’s Lion King.

Well, she loves Moana. Tries to sing along, even had a “Oh shit, Maui, what you doing,” moment. Not lying --- she literally said that when Maui stole the heart.

She’s watching it. Difference this time? My mom’s in the room, and my niece imitates Moana when she asks her Gramma why they stopped voyaging. Looked at her and ran to her. She knows who her Gramma is.

And my mom was really happy. It was cute.

Also, my niece tries to name the stars in We Know the Way. She does the hand signals. I should record this for future embarrassing moment as a teen.

My nibling and I rewatch DuckTales almost every day. We rewatch the first episode to the current. It has surpassed Sesame Street and the dominance of Elmo in her eyes, which is something since Elmo has held that title for a good two years.

Their favorite is Donna’ Duck, and what kills me is the scene where Glomgold takes Donald prisoner.

They stand in front of the television and wags her finger at Glomgold, “No, no, no, no,” and it is so cute. 

It’s cuter when they told Maui, “Oh shit, Maui, what you doing,” the last time they watched Moana. 

I love how much they love Donald Duck.

Currently writing my Opal’s birth, which is churring out slowly due to personal life building up on me, and I really want to include Blackheart Beagle and Ma’ Beagle. 

Grandfather-granddaughter duo, you know?

It’s hard trying to fit Hortense and Matilda in. I’m gonna make it work.
