lil comic commission i made for @peachhoneii of opal seeing her dead brother lolol here's the non-ghostly version:

Just a funny bit. Della meets Opal when Opal is about four months old. Della is around three to four. Quackmore loves babies, so he scoops up his new niece, and he holds her gently. He calls for Donald and Della, and Della sees her daddy holding another baby that isn’t her.

“Della, do you want to see the baby?”

Della nods. She approaches cautiously.

“Aw, she loves her already.” Quackmore coos. “I don’t know what you were worried about, Hortense.”

Then Della smacks Opal in the face. Not especially hard. Hard enough to make her cry. 

Della is put in timeout. Can only attack your brother like that. He can fight back.

Goldie was not about to kick a child, but she was about ready to kick a child.

It's Opal (@moonstoneflowers 's OC ). She's Scrooge and Goldie's wee bairn. I had so much fun designing Opal as a baby and drawing her with her parents altogether.

OK but

BUT

I'm kinda shaken to my core because Matilda's design resembles the design I made for @moonstoneflowers OC Opal.

And it's funny because I made Opal back in 2017.

I made Opal's eyes bigger than Goldie's. I based her hair style on Goldie's in the comics, and also Matilda's (Opal in general was created to be a lot like Matilda character-wise.)

And I gave her the white duck hair like her dad has.

And now Matilda's design has been finally revealed and I am shook how much Opal resembles her. Hair. Hair color. Even the eye shape!!!

It all comes full circle now because Opal was intended to be a lot like Matilda and now she fits into canon even more flawlessly.

The story here is that Vinny and Opal are waiting to get rabies vaccines. Opal and their kitty, Ana, got chased by a bobcat. Vinny saved them. He is less concerned about his wife and more concerned about his cat.

I wanted to take a shot at drawing @donaldtheduckdad and @peachhoneii‘s OC Opal.

I’ve seen many versions of Opal but this based on the early ones where she and Scrooge haven’t seen each other since she was a kid or teenager. So they’re having a talk about that and maybe some apologies are given out. Or, it can be any scenario you want it to be instead.

Coco AU

Some months ago, @kaderp came up with the idea of a Coco AU for Ducktales and was kind enough to let me join the brainstorm XD

So far all we have is the cast but I hope you guys like it!

Dewey as Miguel - C’mon, is there any other triplet who would dream of becoming a famous musician?

Scrooge as Hector - Yes, Scrooge loved music here- but he loved his family more.

Goldie as Imelda - Of course, who else would we pair up with Scrooge? XD

Opal McDuck as Coco - @moonstoneflowers was sweet on letting us use her precious Scroldie daughter <3

Hortense as Elena (abuelita) - Yes, we know Hortense is Scrooge’s sister, not his granddaughter, but this way she can still be the triplets’ grandmother and let’s be honest: her personality just fits.
