some scar headcanons for OCs and also stuff about their general health and whatnot (mostly scars though)
JEAN:
>> a bullet wound over his chest - specifically, his heart - from Battle of the Plains of Abraham. it’s pretty faded at this point, but it’ll probably always remain there to some extent as a representation of the Conquest.
>> has several very faded, very thin scars across his body that aren’t quite noticeable unless you look up close. these are from earthquakes - tremors and seismic activity are a pretty decently common occurrence in much of his province (esp. the western part of it)
>> speaking of earthquakes, he’s sort of prone to seizures caused by them. the severity in question mostly depends on magnitude, as well as the extent of the quake’s effect on his land and people.
AUBREY:
>> several burn scars. the most prominent one is faded a bit, and stretches from their hip to the back of their left shoulder. at its centre, a shallow chunk of skin is missing from their mid-back. this is from the Burning of York, as well as the (self-inflicted) garrison explosion, in 1813.
>> other burns include one over their heart (1834) and another extending from their elbow to their right shoulder (1904) - they’re for both of Toronto’s Great Fires, respectively.
>> a faded, discoloured scar on their hip from Hurricane Hazel, the death toll and damage it caused to the city’s residential areas. (their scar from Hazel isn’t as pronounced as Vernon’s is, though, granted.)
>> as is the norm with city personifications, very prone to sickness. they’ve developed slight hypochondriac tendencies because of it.
>> they’ve got asthma because of their air quality (or lack thereof lmAO) and smog/pollution in general. this doesn’t stop them from smoking at least several packs of cigarettes a week jfc Aubrey what the everloving fuck is wrong with you
COLIN:
>> scars are wip. i haven’t done much research on CGY’s history yet ahaha
>> the chinook is both a blessing and a curse. it gives him mood swings, insomnia and also migraines. occasionally breathing issues too when pollutants get trapped in the cold air (fun!). it’s a price to pay for the sudden relief of warm weather. at very least, Peter probably tends to avoid him because he’s a whole lot more of a bitch than usual whenever it happens.
