Final fantasy has been going downhill; stripped of its color palette, Diverse culture and races and Mystic that made final fantasy so great.

I don't play final fantasy so I can watch k-pop fuckers Gesticulating wildly at me.

I played it cause of interesting characters, races/species & the worlds they inhabit. Nobody asked for final "Fantasy" to be more realistic.

Aura and semblance broke up.

The sad thing about retconning semblances taking up aura is RT wrote themselves into a corner (well they did that with alot of their choices) But separating them doesn’t fix any problems it only expedites them.

Let me take you on a walk, explain to you maybe we’ll learn something or cry, who knows GET UNDER THE READ MORE! 🔪

Like for example with a few super powered characters and series.

Froppy from MHA

Jean Grey- Xmen

Green lantern- DC

The three super heroes I listed have versatile powers that have their strengths and weaknesses, and that’s the keyword here. Weaknesses.

Froppy has the flexibility of a frog and while that may not sound useful to the guy who favors the reality bending heroes/villains she’s got muscles that can pack a punch and a tongue that can reach long distances, not to mention being able to hold her breath and swim like a fish in water.

However this power comes with a weakness, making it too cold and she’ll pass out, as if her amphibian body is hibernating. Her tongue is still something that can be burned, used against her and for all of her abilities can still be taken down by physically imposing opponents.

How about Jean Grey? well for all her power she can still lose hold and control over them if she becomes emotionally unstable which is...often and her powerful telekinesis still leaves her with massive headaches (hell there’s a meme of all the times with the ibuprofen) some that can knock her cold, she’s one of the most powerful mutant but these two weaknesses can prove to sometimes be too much even for one with so much power.

And lastly Green lantern, his weakness is simple compared to the others.  Fear. GL’s operate on willpower and fear can depower and cloud their judgment to make their powerful constructs! Sometimes more physically powerful opponents can also break through them and even the ring can be shattered by the right person leaving the users completely powerless.

Regardless of these three heroes' weaknesses they can still be powerful adversaries to any villain that crosses them and can even come out on top despite their weaknesses; stakes.

YES! RWBY removing aura powered semblances makes the series lose what small stakes it already had, them removing that removes a weakness “Oh no this character's aura is broken now they can’t use their powers.’” Before it was a contest to “which of these losers is gonna drop their shield first? So we can start caring about the fight.. Oh both at the same time!? How convenient.” They went after the wrong thing and instead of removing the sometimes protective shield they took away all stakes by going “you can now just use your super forever, no fear of meters going down.” Now semblances like Yang’s that had a timer of both activating when she was low on aura and also being passive so she had to be smart and quick are now just gone.

What a disappointing and sudden change.

Roman was a bad and boring villain too

Roman was a bad villain? Yeah who wouldn’t like a charismatic villain who actually did shit unlike most of cinder’s crew and herself who barely even stated in a minimum of 10 series.

Yeah who doesn’t like a villain whoes’ a foil to most of the characters; Using the schnee dust and weapons and connections against weiss and ironwood, using and lying to the faunus to turn them into cannon fodder for cinder, trying to kill ruby and her idea of how Villains vs Heros being thrown in her face during their last fight where she has an impartial speech and got fucking blasted afterwards.

It’s not like good villains challenge the heros both on a physical and mental aspect. And he’s challenged them for 3 seasons compared to salem who hasn’t even interacted with the heros and the villains and heroes have no plan as to how to deal with each other.

They haven’t even talked about it.

But sure roman’s baaad and boooring, y'all need to stop coming here all the time with the worst takes or else I’m asking for royalties.
