Road to Toadstool - June 2022 The terrain changes greatly as you move west through Nebraska. On the far western edge near Harrison, is the Toadstool National Monument, so named for the shape of rocks found there. This is the road to Toadstool. The bands of denser caprock create raised terraces across the landscape. I like images of roads that go off into the distance. I especially like roads that curve just as they reach the vanishing point. The blue sky, the two trees, and the white gravel all add to the composition of this image. MWM
