@blocdybatgirl liked for a STARTER!
Throughout her illustrious career, Ivy knows enough about herself to know exactly when she’s been knocked unconscious because she comes to all at-once. There’s no dazed and confused, shaking the cobwebs off, minutes-long stupor. There’s just suddenly and vivid ( usually very sore ) consciousness.
Which is the first thing that clues her into the fact that something isn’t quite right. When she comes to, it’s in phases. It’s slow. It’s lethargic. Her eyes open and close-- lids heavy-- for a good two minutes before the ceiling above comes into focus. All her limbs feel especially heavy, and her mind is foggy.
Sitting up -- in no small amount of discomfort -- she shakes her head and nearly jumps out of her skin when something heavy and cool falls onto her shoulder. When she pulls it free and examines it--
“A bat cowl?”
...That’s not her voice. That is NOT her voice.
Heartbeat and anxiety rising by the second -- also a mostly foreign feeling -- Ivy stands and looks around the room. She can’t remember what happened. Arkham, for sure. Some kind of... experiments, maybe? Gaia, it’s all fuzzy. Dammit.
Standing, and noticing a distinct difference in her usual eye-level, Ivy touches her face. Then her neck then her chest and-- Well. That’s not Arkham standard issue. She takes a moment to gather her courage-- breathes in deeply-- and glances down.
“Sonofabitch.”
She’s the goddamn Batgirl. Cowl, gloves, kevlar, bat symbol and all. Goddammit.
