Hentai vs. anime vs. manga

I got into this debate in school today: One of my friends told me that he thinks that all anime and manga are hentai. Then I went on a rant saying how anime and manga aren't necessarily hentai. It's like another form of Japanese culture all on its own. And then I had an epiphany... YOU READ MANGA AND WATCH ANIME, BUT YOU CAN READ AND WATCH HENTAI. Moral of the story: I don't really know, but oh well.
