I just went to a pub to look for part time work, and I asked the guy on the bar if they had any vacancies and he was dead nice and went "just let me check" and he walked off to the general manager who was sat on a barstool to the right behind a bunch of people, and I heard the bar guy ask him if they had any part time work and the first thing the manager said was "IS SHE FIT?!?"
and then looked at me and back at the bar guy and was like "GET IN THERE LAD" like seriously, control yourselves
Kinda really pissed off . . .
At myself for not doing anything about it mostly, but still . . .
So I was working on New Years Eve, and (I'm a waitress - Oh the joys) we have to wear a shirt tie and pinny. There were two old men I kept passing as I collected glasses, and they were joking and laughing/normal bantering to me, and I was fine with it. Then they mentioned my tie and about how it was exactly the same as one of theirs from like 20 years ago or so, and if they could buy it off me (again they were joking) I thought nothing of it and carried on. But the next time I went round, they stopped me, and were acting a bit leery saying 'oh, the best waitress is here (Trust me when I say, I'm shit, but not the point)' and smiled, and then said something like 'Still want to buy that tie' and as I was walking to move to the next table, one of them like unhooked my tie from under my pinny, and started pulling it out. It really kinda freaked me out, but I didn't have the nerve to say anything, and just kind of laughed it off, pulled it back off him and then shoved it back and walked forward.
But then, o the table directly in front of me was a guy around my age, with a face that said 'ha, Omg, what a slut!' and it really hurt in a way. There I was freaked out, couldn't do anything because the mans wife and kid were there, and I was working, let alone the fact I've never even been kissed (and I'm 20 this year :'( ) and this guy was judging me like I wanted that to happen?!
Really fucked off to be honest. I didn;t know what to do, a bo I knew said to me 'Do you know that guy?!' (Like he'd stepped out of line, which he had) and I paused before saying 'yes' because I didn't want anything to happen, or be the cause of some kind of weird argument. Also pissed off that I said yes, but I want to be able to fight my own battles (even if I was a coward at that time)
That's it really, apart from the fact I didn;t tell anyone, and don't feel like I can, hence why I'm writing it on here. I know it might be a little stupid and/or nothing. But surely, it's unfair for that kind of thing to happen in the first place, AND be deemed a slut, even though I seriously didn't ever want that to happen.
Ugh. Just annoyed Dx Sorry, really had to get it off my chest Dx
