#PetWear: The Emerging Market in the Fashion Industry Check this out folks! After years of hard work and many many presentations, especially at East and West Coast Fashion Weeks, fashions for pets are finally being recognized and celebrated not as novelties but as an emerging market in the fashion Industry. Better yet, while famous human fashion brands are now delving into this market, yours truly is credited for his canine couture. Yes, Anthony Rubio Designs is included among the groundbreaking petwear designers. It was roughly over fifteen years ago that I introduced "#CanineCouture" into the pet industry that was producing off the rack pet clothes that featured only harnesses , sweaters, sweatshirts and simple garments. I was met with great skepticism though there were those who appreciated my creations followed by those who sought me out and commissioned custom works. Even during our travels throughout Europe people who did not understand or resisted accepting the concept scoffed the idea of dressing pets until Vogue Italia showed interest and took the risk of featuring my creations and now there are pet clothing stores cropping up in famous locations like London, Paris and Rome.
