Auction update! Here’s another important announcement. Maynard’s Auction House in Richmond is sending another round of paintings from the estate of Peter Ewart to auction. There have been a number of auctions featuring his work in recent years, as his daughter sadly passed away in 2016 at age 66. I had corresponded with her on a number of occasions, and she continued to bring her father’s legacy to the forefront. Since then, a new school has been named in Peter’s honour, the Peter Ewart Middle School in Langley, with classes commencing last September. Two years ago, the Langley Advance Times wrote: “He is a well-known artist that lived in Langley. One thing that struck a chord with the board was this is the first time a school has been named for an artist. Art, education and students, were all passions of Mr. Ewart.” Peter is one of my all-time favourite artists of the 20th Century, and any local art lover should seriously consider adding an Ewart to their collection. The auction takes place THIS FRIDAY, February 14th at 1pm 
There is a live preview at their Richmond offices, next to Ikea, Monday to Thursday, 10am - 5pm and Friday, February 14th, 10am -1pm.
