FULL WOLF MOON-1/28/2021
PLEASE! TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF TODAY.
MANY BLESSINGS!
“Perhaps our dreams are there to be broken, and our plans are there to crumble, and our tomorrows are there to dissolve into todays, and perhaps all of this is all a giant invitation to wake up from the dream of separation, to awaken from the mirage of control, and embrace whole-heartedly what is present.
Perhaps it is all a call to compassion, to a deep embrace of this universe in all its bliss and pain and bitter-sweet glory.
Perhaps we were never really in control of our lives, and perhaps we are constantly invited to remember this, since we constantly forget it.
Perhaps suffering is not the enemy at all, and at its core, there is a first-hand, real-time lesson we must all learn, if we are to be truly human, and truly divine.
Perhaps breakdown always contains breakthrough. Perhaps suffering is simply a right of passage, not a test or a punishment, nor a signpost to something in the future or past, but a direct pointer to the mystery of existence itself, here and now. Perhaps life cannot go 'wrong' at all.”
― Jeff Foster
There is a road in the hearts of all of us, hidden and seldom traveled, which leads to an unknown, secret place. The old people came literally to love the soil, and they sat or reclined on the ground with a feeling of being close to a mothering power. Their teepees were built upon the earth and their altars were made of earth. The soul was soothing, strengthening, cleansing and healing. That is why the old Indian still sits upon the earth instead of propping himself up and away from its life giving forces. For him, to sit or lie upon the ground is to be able to think more deeply and to feel more keenly. He can see more clearly into the mysteries of life and come closer in kinship to other lives about him.~ ~Chief Luther Standing Bear-

“The old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man’s heart, away from nature, becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans, too. So he kept his children close to nature’s softening influence.” ~Luther Standing Bear
“It might seem like we own the earth, and we certainly act that way, but I don’t believe we do. I think this lack of sensitivity towards that natural world is a result of our alienation from it. We don’t see, hear, or feel the land anymore. We only see it from the point of view of what we can do with it. We have become so totally committed to changing our environment that we have become oblivious to the fact that the world around us is a creation in itself.”
~Bill Mason
THE BEAVER FULL MOON - November 13-2019
"We may enjoy the winter coats and central heating now, but freezing to death during the long, dark winters. In order to survive, making warm winter clothing out of beaver fur was crucial for American colonists and Native American tribes. This is why November's full moon is also known as the Beaver Moon . During this month, they are very active, working hard on the construction, and have a good time to start harvesting their fur.
Missing the timing of this death for these early years, making it impossible to set out traps. Many Native American tribes, including the Cree, Arapaho, and Abenaki tribes, called November's full moon the "Moon When Rivers Start to Freeze"
