Looking for a good film to watch, The Vanishing was inspired by the Flannan Isles Lighthouse mystery where one year after it was built three men vanished on December 15th 1900.
We don't see Gerard Butler in many Scottish films and he played the part very well alongside the ever excellent Peter Mullan and Connor Swindells, Gary Lewis also has a supporting part in the film. Well worth a watch, IMDb give this 7.9/10 out of 29,533 votes while Rottentomatoes rate it at 87% over 15 reviews.
