It was turning out time on a Friday night, and the road outside the Black Sail was particularly raucous this evening. They’d parked some distance away, learning from experience that drunk dockers weren’t good for the state of their sole vehicle. As they approached though, Peter realised that there was something decidedly out of the ordinary going on.

I love that little moment in CTM 04x06 when Sergeant Noakes mentions Freddie at the campsite. Sure it’s a semi-transparent attempt to establish rapport with the Irish Travellers. But if they hadn’t stopped him at “nearly eighteen months old now,” he probably would’ve kept babbling on, gotten out one of those accordion-fold picture wallets with, like, sixteen pictures of Freddie in it...
