Peter Robertson Producer & Sound Engineer Episode #80 - Triumph Over Catastrophe
Pete Robertson started his engineering career as a kid in a garage band. He always had the ability to make things sound better. He moved to Woodstock and found himself invited to help Michael Birnbaum build Applehead Recording and remained there getting his formal education, engineering for artists such as Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Tony Levin and many other working musicians who hide away in the shadows of the Catskill Mountains. He met a band in Boston, The Dropkick Murphys who started out on a dare and ended up with notoriety for their Celtic Punk song that was used in Scorsese’s “The Departed”. With this boost, the Dropkick Murphys tour Europe and the USA every year with their sound entrusted to Pete. Pete also serves as their ears in the recording studio and produced their last album.
