some barely organized vibes of peterniil:

I feel like they may have dated in Uni, but Daniil definitely had a crush on him at some point. Peter represented(s) everything Daniil aspires to be. He’s an incredibly driven person with incredible utopian dreams! Their motivations are really similar. There’s also the fact that Peter... succeeded? Like he built the Polyhedron, an impossible structure that cannot be, and it can also house a human soul! He creates the solution to the problem that Daniil has been working to solve for years. 

So, Daniil obviously has a lot of admiration for Peter. In university, I see them splitting up because of how dedicated they both are to their own projects. Daniil “communication issues” Dankovsky also isn’t good at letting people know he cares about them. He was probably even worse as a stupid college student. 

Post Diurnal Peterniil is probably very angsty- they both have to move on after losing their life purposes. Neither have much structure to build upon, literally just the other Utopians.

Also this piece of dialogue hits me in the ouch
