The Peter Strauss Ranch, part of @santamonicamountainsnps, located on #Mulholland Highway near Agoura Hills, #California. In the early 20th century, automobile manufacturer Harry Miller, famous for his patented master carburetor featured at the Indianapolis 500, purchased the property. In the mid-1930s, the property was purchased by Warren Shobert and Arthur Edeson, who transformed the property into a recreational #fairyland resort for children and adults featuring #amusement rides, a large Terrazo dance floor, a #pool, and lake known as Lake Enchanto. In the 1950s, competition from other amusement parks and resorts led to the property's decline, which closed around 1960. In 1976, actor Peter Strauss purchased the property and lived there until 1983, when he sold it to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.
