For: petty-bocchan Author: redrosecrown Pairings/Character: Sebastian, Our Ciel(Young Master), Lizzy. (Soma and Agni were briefly mentioned) Warnings: N/A Prompt: // 3.- Sebastian taking care of a stubborn, sick Ciel who refuses to stay in bed (bonus points if you add angst) Author’s Notes: Lord Black is fictional. He’s a character I made up.
-“Young master, it seems that you have fever,” I said. “We should cancel all of our plans for today.”
-“I’m fine.”
-It was the first morning of February, and the ground was frozen from the snow, which covered everything that was ugly and beautiful, dead or alive, including my master’s sense of reason. His stubborn face refused to look at my beautiful, demonic eyes, as he was slurping down his favorite tea. The lemon cake, however, was left untouched, obviously now meant for the mouths of our servants.
-“You’re burning,” I said. Now, the master was starting to look pale, and he was shivering when he got out of his bed.
-“This is nothing.”
-“You’re feeling cold, even though, I kept the fire burning all night,” said Sebastian, buttoning Earl’s shirt.
-“I said I was fine,” he continued in that stubborn and deceitful manner.
-I started unbuttoning the white shirt.
-“What are you doing, Sebastian?”
-“Your health is my first priority,” I said, “and, nothing can override that. Even an order by you, I’m afraid.”
-“That’s the last thing I need, another day of being bed-ridden” said Young Master under his breath, oblivious to the fact that I could hear him even from the hallway. I went down to cook a Pot-au-feu and some pudding, and I didn’t forget to call the doctor. Master used to be asthmatic. I must be careful, for the illness might return.
-“His fever is really high,” said the doctor, shaking his head. “He must stay in bed at least three days, I’m afraid.”
-“At least three days?” exclaimed Young Master. His pale face was now flushed in rage. “I don’t have that time!”
-“Master, please, stay in bed,” I said, after the doctor left. “You heard the doctor.”
-“No, I don’t want to stay in bed,” said he, trying to unbutton his pajamas, but he almost fell down.
-“Can’t you see that you are not well, my Lord?” I said, holding him.
-“Okay, I’ll stay in bed only for a few hours,” said he looking angry. “Sebastian, I command you to wake me up after three hours. It’s an order.”
-“Yes, my Lord,” I said, bowing elegantly.
-The servants were clumsy and unproductive and infuriating as well, but I didn’t forget to wake up my cruel ambitious Young Master. His fever was still quite high.
-“Now, let’s go to …,” he started talking, but still couldn’t stand up without feeling dizzy.
-“No, young master,” I said pushing him back in his bed. “You have a high fever, and you ought to stay in bed as the doctor instructed you.”
-“You, bastard, let me up,” he grunted, looking furious. His pale face became red. I have to manipulate him to stay in bed. Ah, humans. They are always so difficult.
-“Listen, master,” I said slowly unbuttoning his pajamas. As if I was going to let him go. “Marchioness Francis said, last week, that Lady Elizabeth will be there. You don’t want to look horrible in front of her. You face is pale, and you look terribly weak while trembling.”
-“Okay, I get it,” said he going back to bed. In fact, it’s true that Marchioness Francis said that, but I also heard from Lady Elizabeth herself, yesterday, that she won’t go there. I have to not say lies, but that doesn’t mean that I have to say everything. This lasted until 3 p.m. when Lady Elizabeth came running.
-“Oh, Ciel,” she said hugging him mercilessly. “I missed you so much…Are you sick?!”
-“Elizabeth, the real question is why you are here?” he said. “Aren’t you …”
-“Ciel, you are sick!” she shouted, and I tried to take advantage of the situation.
-“Young master insists to go to that all-day-long-party in the Lord Black’s mansion, but the doctor said that he has to stay at least three days in bed due to his high fever.”
-And, now, he had to stay in bed, because of Lady Elizabeth, but I knew well that Young Master will insist on working again, tomorrow, but I had another secret card under my sleeves but Lady Elizabeth. One of the medicines for fevers made him sleep, but still…
-“Sebastian, I don’t like bed,” he spoke feverishly. Lady Elizabeth was taking a bath. He was even worse while semi-conscious.
-“Young Master, please, I think you should stay in your bed. Your fever has just started to calm down.”
-“No, I’m very angry at you,” he spoke childishly. “I want to work, and find the killer. Her majesty insists…he majeso..” and then he fell asleep. But, he kept waking up. One time the danger was so near.
-“Dad, I want to play with Ciel,” he said angrily looking at me.
-“Oh, master, don’t talk so loudly,” I said tucking him in gently. “Lady Elizabeth will hear you.”
-Later came Prince Soma and Agni, and found Young Master in deep sleep.
