OK y’all, I can’t get the new drawing in the “Revelations...”-series ready, they are soooo much work hahaha. - So instead here’s a pic of my, erm, creative process???

May 6, 1900 Vilhelm Hansen was born... 50 years later he and his wife Carla created the beloved cartoon character, Rasmus Klump, whose strange universe populated with talking, world circumnavigating, pancake stacking animals I loved as a kid. I was particularly fascinated with their ability to eat whole stacks of sirup-dripping pancakes, since try as I might I could never eat more than 4 in a sitting...

Rasmus Klump and his friends Pingo (the Penguin), Pelle (the Pelican), Pilskadden (the Turtle) and Skæg (the Salty Sailor Seal) - to mention but a few - were also successful internationally, and the total sales of comic books in 20 different countries exceeds 20 million copies. You may know Rasmus as Bruin or Barnaby the Bear in English, Rasmus Nalle in Swedish, or as Petzi In German, French and Portuguese...

!EXPOS DE L’ÉTÉ!

Dans la catégorie “Idées d’expos à aller voir cet été”, on vous propose un crochet suisse vers le Château de St Maurice, qui nous avait déjà ravis en 2017 avec sa superbe exposition consacrée à Alice au Pays des Merveilles et qui plonge cette fois dans un tout autre univers avec l’ourson Petzi !

Ce héros danois fait les beaux jours de la bande dessinée jeunesse depuis les années 50 et l’on découvrira avec bonheur son histoire, mais aussi une galerie d’hommages réalisés par une belle brochette de la création graphique helvétique d’aujourd’hui (Alex Baladi, Plonk&Replonk, Cosey, Wazem, Isabelle Pralong, Pascal Matthey...).

Et comme toujours au Château St Maurice, la scénographie est des plus ludiques, avec plein de peluches de Petzi et ses amis, de grosses crêpes en tissu à faire sauter, et un bâteau géant à explorer !
