Bird migration is a gift in northern Germany - many birds migrate away, but others pass through or stay here over winter. It is the time of geese and ducks, for example the wonderful Eurasian Wigeons, which now let their whistling sound resound over the waters.

I was counting ducks (mallards, specifically), when I noticed something extraordinary: there were two impostors! These two cute girls had totally blended together with the others. When they finally woke up, they also noticed me, and I felt a unique type of symbiosis, which I’m sure they didn’t.
