No one told me that it's fine to keep things just because they feel nice. No one told me that it's perfectly acceptable, even as an adult, to line up a row of soft blocks and push down on each one, feeling it flatten and watching it rise again, as a calming break from a chaotic world. No one told me, because I never asked. I just assumed it wasn't okay, because it wasn't what other people did. I've grown better at accepting what I enjoy. First, though, I had to get better at noticing what I enjoy, and why.

“The heavens and the earth and all creation celebrate His praise. The souls get tranquility in His love, the hearts find peace in His remembrance and the reasons thrive by His knowledge.” —Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
As Audre Lorde said in 1980, "We have all been programmed to respond to the human differences between us with fear and loathing and to handle that difference in one of three ways: ignore it, and if that is not possible copy it if we think it is dominant, or destroy it if we thing it is subordinate. But we have no patterns for relating across our human differences as equals." To be an antiracist is a radical choice in the face of the history, requiring a radical reorientation of our consciousness.

So Robin was actually supposed to be the original punch line, but I just decided to redo the whole thing and replace humor with sediment. Sorry for the late page, but I’m super happy with how this came out☺️
