Plot: There’s nothing more you love than cooking for your boyfriend, despite it being your day job
Warnings: Google Translate used, if i have Italian, French or Japanese readers please feel free to correct me in the comments or DM's!
"Do i have to cook us dinner again, babe its all i've done all weekend, today's my day off" you groan snuggling into him on the sofa. Today had been one of those days at work where you'd felt the heat, no pun intended.
It was a busy weekend afternoon shift that meant all kinds of people were coming to the restaurant you were working in. It was also an F1 weekend in Milan so it was very busy with lots of tourists and people on holiday so you were using all 6 of the languages you spoke throughout the night.
"Ah hello, how are you tonight" you smile at an English speaking family who'd come from the states. They had big grins and wanted an audience with the chef.
"You're the chef?" she asks looking over you. You smile with a small nod before she takes your doughy hand in hers.
"It was fabulous! Will you be here tomorrow, oh we want to come back and try more off the menu tomorrow!" she offers and your own grin widens.
"Amazing! Thank you guys and I'm glad you enjoyed it!" you nod before rushing off back into the kitchens.
Two hours later, two very rich Italian customers had come in, they were regulars in the restaurant and always asked for you to come out and serve their food.
"Grazie Mille, Y/N! Come sempre è spettacolare" They say speaking their usual Italian.
"C un onore cucinare per lei, signore!" you compliment, it was an pleasure to cook regardless of the customer but you'd always get satisfaction from regulars.
And then not even an hour later, Rosa one of the newer waitresses came running in looking rather flushed and embarrassed.
"Cosa c'è che non va, Rosa?" you ask the out of breath girl, concerned for her.
"Ci sono due clienti giapponesi, non posso prendere il loro ordine" she cries letting you know that she cannot communicate with the Japanese customers that just came in.
"I'll take the order!" you smile at her tapping her shoulder in a friendly manner before washing your hands and making your way out onto the dining floor.
You always loved coming out on the floor, you imagined it was how your boyfriend Pierre felt when he was walking through the paddock.
"Konnichi wa, watashi wa shev desu !" you introduce and they both look up at you in shock.
"Anata wa nihongo wa hanashi masu ka ?" the young girl asks making you nod, and crouch down leaning on the table.
"Hai watashi wa nihon de watashi no gijutsu wa manabi mashi ta" you explain that you'd actually studied in Japan learning to cook.
They ordered their food after you gave them your recommendations before a french couple called you over. You handed the pad to Rosa, asking her to call for you if they have any troubles.
"Bonjour comment ça va?" you offer to the three glaring French ladies.
"Votre uniforme est en désordre ! Pas professionnel !" she argues with a huff making you giggle a little, before poitning at your chef hat. She reddens as she realises whose she's insulted.
"Je suis désolé!" she apologises making you nod you head and let her know it's fine.
After that tiresome weekend, Pierre had the cheek to see if you were going to cook the pair of you dinner on a Monday night. That was definitely not happening.
"Please, your cooking is the best!" he demands with a groan, lazing against you on the sofa.
"Pierre! I've been on my feet all weekend, i don't even want to look in the kitchen right now!" you whine, looking down at him his face lifting off your chest to look at you.
"Wait, Yuki's coming tonight! We can force him to cook!" Pierre grins.
"Yuki's coming?" you exclaim sitting up looking round at the unkept house, showing that both you and you're boyfriend had had zero time over the race weekend to clean.
"Yeah, whats wrong with that? He always comes over!" Pierre asks and you nod.
"Yes he does but with notice, the house is a mess!" you cry looking around.
Pierre looked at you with an eyeroll, he looked at the house and didn't see anything wrong with it. Yeah there was a unfolded blanket on the armchair. Yes there was two coffee mugs that had been sat there sicne this morning but it was your home and you guys lived there ... there would be mess.
"It's Yuki, come on he basically lives here!" Pierre tries to reason.
"And you were going to try and force the poor boy to cook! You are a horrible person Pierre!" you cringe slapping his side before jumping up.
"Pierre!" you gasp as his arms come and wrap round your waist holding you still beside him.
"Don't go! Was so warm and comfy cuddling" he whines trying to pull you back on the sofa but you don't budge.
"No, need to clean Pierre!" you try and tell him, moving away starting to go around the living room. Pierre shortly joins you, not after a few grumbles of fake annoyance and pouts came from him.
After around an hour of you and Pierre cleaning up with music in the background a soft knock sounds of the living room door. Pierre kisses your forehead before running over to greet his friend.
"Hi!" Yuki grins, hugging Pierre before quickly getting off him and coming right for you. He pulls you into a huge hug before the yapping starts. Yuki was the biggest yapper you knew, once he started he wouldnt stop.
"So i wanted to try out this new dish, it looks so good and i think you did it at school and i was wondering if you'd help me. Obviously, you're probably so tired from working all weekend so we can do it a different time!"
"Yuki's its okay i'll help!" you smile softly but he shakes his head seeing how tired his eyes are.
"No no, let me and Pierre cook a meal for you. Promise it'll be good!" he says as he looks over at Pierre a grin on his face before he makes himself in your kitchen.
"Yuki! It's fine!" you run after him.
However, he didn't let up. Him and Pierre were in the kitchen, Yuki stealing your chef whites and starting up on a meal that he knew you'd appreciate.
"What wine does this call for Yuki!" you ask opening the cabinet where you stored it all.
"Mmmm white i think maybe a Pinot?" he says not looking over his shoulder as you go to your section of whites.
You guys talked about the race that had just been and the upcoming season. Yuki had cooked an incredible meal, with your boyfriend as his sous chef.
"Thank you for cooking guys!" you smile as you dig into the food.
"My best chef" Pierre grins looking over at you.
"Not me?" Yuki looks at him with an angry expression.
"Come on ..." he says as he gobbles the food him and Yuki prepared.
"It's your fault the food doesn't taste as good as it normally does, you are a horrible sous chef!" Yuki exclaims and you watch them both bicker as they also continue to eat the food prepared.
As exhausting as your job could be you wouldn't change the fact that it made you find people like these who you related too and bonded really well with.
This was your life and you were beyond satisfied.

summary: Pierre comes home to his girlfriend and newborn daughter after a long triple header.
warnings: none!
word count: 800 words
a/n: based on this request here! As always my requests are open and I love to get them! <3
my masterlist <33
The apartment was quiet, yet somehow felt homely as Pierre made his way into the home that he shared with you, and now with your latest edition; your daughter, Aurelie. You had given birth to her 3 weeks before the end of the season, and with Pierre almost halfway across the world in Las Vegas, you were terrified that he would miss the birth of your first born daughter. However, luckily, Jack had been on standby and ready to jump in should Pierre had to leave quickly to get on the first flight home to Milan.
He had gotten there just in time for you to start pushing, and see the birth of his daughter. It had been 3 weeks, and now the season had finally wrapped up and Pierre could spend time with you and your daughter. Locking the door behind him, he kicked his shoes off and placed them beside yours, leaving his backpack on top of his suitcase, all he wanted at this point was to be in bed with you and your daughter. However, as he made his way into your shared bedroom, he found you and Aurelie already asleep, with your daughter asleep on top of your chest.
"Shhh," You were half asleep, subconsciously running your hand up and down your daughter's small back to try and soothe her. You had just gotten her to sleep, and you hoped that your boyfriend's often unintentionally loud nature wouldn't wake her. "I just got her to fall asleep, please do not wake her up." You whispered, looking up at Pierre with pleading eyes. He smiled at you sadly, knowing that tonight the two of you wouldn't be sharing a bed.
Yet he understood. You had basically been alone with your newborn daughter for the past 3 weeks, dealing with her on your own without him there had to have been tiring, so he could imagine that you were wanting as full a nights sleep as possible. He smiled as he nodded, bending over so he could press a kiss to your lips, hoping to not be too destructive as to wake up your sleeping baby.
"Of course, Cherie, I will sleep on the couch for tonight," He placed his large hand on Aurelie's small back, placing it over the top of yours. "I can take the bedside cot and I can get up with her if she wakes up." He offered you, trying his best to relieve you in some way.
"Are you sure? You're just coming off of a long triple header, Pierre," You countered, sighing as he waved you off, offering to take your sleeping daughter from your arms and into his. "If you're sure." You carefully sat up so's not to disturb Aurelie, gently placing her into her father's arms. Thankfully, she settled into Pierre's hold and remained asleep. "'M sorry that the place is such a mess too, I've just been trying so hard to keep her settled and-"
"Please don't worry about it, amour, we can worry about that together tomorrow. You've done so much by carrying and bringing our daughter into the world, that is enough for me," He smiled at you softly, holding your sleeping daughter with on arm and quietly dragging the cot out to the living room, placing Aurelie into it before quickly heading back to your bedroom. "I love you so much, Y/N." He said quietly, noticing that you were very quickly falling asleep.
"I love you too, Pierre," You told him sleepily, dozing off as he sat beside you, holding your hand. "I'm so glad that you're home." You mumbled, a sleepy smile gracing your features as you fell asleep. He smiled as he kissed your cheek, quickly grabbing his pyjama bottoms as he changed quickly before Aurelie woke up and needed tended to.
Making his way out to the living room, he smiled, the glow of the moon cast a shadow of your small daughter's face, her face that was so similar to yours. If anyone asked him, he would say that you and Aurelie were the most beautiful girls he had ever seen - His two beautiful girls. He settled on the sofa, smiling as he reached out his hand to hold onto his daughters, her small hand wrapping around one of his fingers.
Even though he was exhausted from 3 weeks of constant travel and racing, being at home with the two of you, and he was sleeping on the couch, it all felt worth it. Even if it meant that he was waking up hours after he'd fallen asleep to feed Aurelie during the night.

Y/n paused for a moment. The 10 minutes she had spent selecting every single photo she had with Pierre felt like eternity to her. So lost in her thought, she did not notice a drop tear roll down her face. It is funny how things can change so easily; how a lifetime worth of promises comes with an expiration date. "You will heal; I mean, look at how far you've come from where we were before," said Gracie, Y/n's best friend and probably the only person she had told about her breakup. For the rest of the world, Y/n and Pierre, 'the most playful couple', were still together, spending their vacation in some city filled with love and laughter.
It was Gracie who suggested that it's bout time she deleted their photos. I mean, it has been 2 months already; there is no point in holding on to something, someone who no longer wants to do anything with her.
She knew she would be fine. I mean, isn't that's how it's supposed to go? You hurt, you heal. It was simple, so why was it that hitting the delete button felt like the most difficult task in the world? Swallowing the lump in her throat, Y/n finally pressed the button, which in an instant erased the French man's existence from her life. Goodbyes are hard, especially when you did not see them coming. Y/n never dreamt of a future where she and Pierre wouldn't be together; sadly for her, that was the reality she now had to live in.

Sitting in front of her dresser, Y/n was busy getting ready for the night. She saw the news about Pierre seeing someone else flood her Twitter feed. It's okay; it's not like he owed her an explanation or the fact that they broke up 4 months ago. It's perfectly fine for people to go out and explore the dating pool again. Hell, even Y/n had been on a few dates, none that got past the second date. What bothered her was the fact that Pierre was seen with his new girl in Paris. She still distinctively remembers one warm afternoon in July, where both she and Pierre were cuddled up on the couch watching some random movie to kill time. It was then that he told her, "I'm so excited for next week," he had said as he pulled Y/n closer to him. "And why is that?" she had questioned with a hint of amusement in her voice. "Paris holds a very special place in my heart, and a long time ago I decided that I would only take the people closest to my heart there," he said. "And you are very special to me, ma chérie," he added. It was always like this: cheeky comments and flirtatious replies were what made their relationship theirs.
So seeing him take Francisca Gomes to Paris felt like a direct hit. Here she was barely able to hold onto a new date, and there he was going to the city of love with his 'special person.'
Y/n had just finished applying a sheet mask and decided to watch some videos on YouTube while waiting for her timer to go off. Scrolling through the home page, her eyes landed on an interview with none other than Francisca or Kika, as everyone on the internet had called her. "Kika Gomes on Balancing Life as a Model, a Student, and the Girlfriend of Pierre Gasly" read the title. She knows she shouldn't; she knows that no positive outcome will come from this video, but ignoring all the warning signs, Y/n clicked on the video. Her room was filled with the voice of Kika and the interviewer. Sometime after the introduction and general questions, Y/n stopped paying attention to what was being said in the interview. That was until she heard the interviewer ask Kika about her and Pierre's relationship.
On that reply, Y/n let out a dry chuckle. 'When you know, you just know' how basic. Of course she would think that; why would she mind them moving in 'too fast'? She's got nothing to lose. It was Y/n that had to suffer over them 'moving in too fast.' But no one paid attention to that, because she was not the one he was in love with, not anymore, at least.
Sometime later in the interview, the host asked Kika to play a game, answer a few questions, and take part in a challenge. After about 5-6 questions, the host announced the challenge: 'Get Pierre to text you back in 2 minutes; if she fails, she has to perform a dare.' With a scoff, Y/n said, "Good luck with that." She knows there is no way Pierre would reply within 2 minutes; he never did that during the entirety of their 2 years together, and there is no way he's gonna do it now. She saw Kika type a message to Pierre before hitting send and answering yet another question. It had barely been 30 seconds; the girl on the screen barely finished her sentence when the ding from her notification filled the studio. Y/n felt her heart drop; there was no way it was him; he had never been so quick before. Ya, Y/n was sure it was not him, but then what Kika said made her doubt a lot of things about her relationship with Pierre.
That reply was quick; that's what bothered Y/n. No, scratch that; that was one of the things that bothered Y/n about this new relationship. The girl in front of her could not have been more different from Y/n. She was taller than her, younger than her, and a lot prettier than her. They could not have been more opposite of each other. It made Y/n question whether she was even Pierre's type all along. Was that the reason why he broke up with her? because she was not like the usual girls he would go for? because she did not fit his standard of beauty? Before Y/n could spiral down any further, her phone started ringing, startling her and cutting off her long chain of thought. Looking down, she saw that it was her manager who was calling her. She looked at the top of the screen to check the time: 11:24 p.m. It was odd for her manager to call her at this hour. Confused, she answered the phone, "Hello?"

After one too many drinks, Y/n, Gracie, and Taylor were all chilling at the rental Y/n and Gracie were sharing. The night was filled with drinks and laughter. With soft music playing in the background, Y/n looked around at Gracie and Taylor, both texting their boyfriends, giggling over their phones. A content look on their faces. Even though Y/n smiled at the sight, a bitter taste filled her mouth. Excusing herself, she went to the bathroom. After being together with someone for 2 years, it's easy to forget what it's like to be single again. It's been 6 months now since they broke up. Y/n knows she shouldn't miss him, because it was obvious that he clearly wasn't missing her. Looking in the mirror, she saw her blonde hair and blue eyes staring back at her. She wondered was it her eyes? Did he just want someone who had darker eyes all along? Y/n knew Kika's features so well, that one might think of her as an obsessive fan, and maybe she was. Definitely not a fan though. Maybe she was obsessed with Kika; what was it that she has that Y/n doesn't? Way beyond her senses, Y/n, in her drunken state, pulled out her phone and opened Instagram to post a story of herself.

What are you supposed to feel when your ex moves on with his life? How should one even react when they see him show more commitment to his current relationship than he did to yours? Y/n wondered, What was even the point of feeling like this? I mean, shouldn't she be happy? She has got everything she could have asked for: a job with her idol, performing night after night in front of people who love her and her music, and spending every second of her life with her best friend by her side. Y/n had everything, but somehow she still felt empty.
He got a dog with her. Y/n still remembers the day when she suggested they get a pet together. "Come on, Pierre, look at this puppy; he's perfect!!!," Y/n had beamed while showing Pierre a photo of the dog she had seen at the shelter. "He is cute, but you know we can't get a pet," Pierre had said. "We're not even home most of the time, and the constant travelling won't help the dog," he had reasoned. Dejected, she sat back down on the couch, opting to delete the photo. What's the point of keeping it when she knows she will never be able to adopt the puppy?

It was finally done. Y/n had just finished her album. She's not gonna lie; this album was probably the most difficult one to record. Especially the last song she recorded. After pushing it back for months, she finally did it. She got in the recording room and poured her little heart out. What surprised Y/n were the tears that came while she recorded the song. It's not like she was in love with him, not anymore, at least. Y/n had finally accepted the fact that no matter how much she questioned the reason for Pierre leaving her and choosing Kika, she could not come up with an answer that would have given her some closure. She had gone through every possible scenario in her head; what could she have done differently to make him stay? But while doing all this thinking, Y/n realized that no matter what she did, he would have ended up with her. Maybe he was holding out, waiting to find someone opposite her, someone who fit his description of "perfect," a match "made in heaven."
It was time she let go of this chapter, no matter how much it hurt her, it was time to say goodbye to all the possibilities of them.

There will be a lot of times in life where you find yourself in a situation where you want to say things or question things, but you can't because that's just how things have to be. This album contains all the things I wish I could have said. I hope you enjoy the little piece of my heart that I'm sharing with you! Keep it safe <3

[lyrics and title from Like You Mean It by Steven Rodriguez]
You’re out clubbing with some friends after a shitty week. You’ve already had about 4 drinks and are feeling pretty buzzed. You and a couple of your friends are having fun dancing when a guy slides in behind you.
You’re feeling free spirited, so you raise your eyebrows at your friend and mouth ‘Cute?’
She nods and you continue to dance with the guy.
A few songs in, you lean your head back on his shoulder and he bends to kiss your neck as your eyes close. His lips trail up your neck and to your mouth. You kiss him back, enjoying the feeling, and when his tongue touches your lips, you part them and your hand makes its way into his hair.
You separate for breath and pull away, turning to face the guy, and meet familiar blue eyes.
“Pierre!?” you yell, jumping back farther. “Holy shit! What the fuck!?”
“Believe me, I’m just as surprised as you!” Pierre replies.
“Shit. I have to go.” You say, pushing away from him and winding your way through the crowd.
Your chest feels like it is trying to collapse as you feel panic rising at the thought of anyone seeing that and it somehow getting back to your brother.
“Just wait, please?” Pierre says, catching your wrist as you walk down the hallway to the bathroom.
You stop and lean against the wall, crossing your arms across your chest and raising an eyebrow at him.
“Can we talk about it?”
“You’re my brother’s coworker and friend, Pierre! What more is there to talk about?”
“Did you not enjoy it?” he asks.
“Of course you would ask that... It was a nice kiss, but that’s all it’ll ever be.”
“Nice?” Pierre says, placing his hands on either side of your head on the wall, caging you in as he leans into your space. “You sure you don’t want more?” he asks huskily, and you have to fight to keep your eyes from rolling back in your head at how hot it gets you.
“I’m sure,” you say quietly, staring straight at his chest and not meeting his eyes.
“I think that’s a lie.” He responds, taking one hand and tilting your chin up.
“Pierre…” you breathe before he connects his lips to yours.
His one hand is still planted on the wall as the other slides around the back of your neck. Your body thrums with electricity from his kiss and his touch.
He pulls back and looks in your eyes before smiling. "Was I wrong?”
You shake your head, and he kisses you again, this time with more hunger. Your hands grip his shoulders as he grabs your waist, pressing you back into the wall with his body weight.
He begins kissing down your neck as your head falls backwards and you struggle for breath with the fire his mouth is creating on your skin.
“Wait, wait, wait.” You say and he immediately pulls back.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, just we’re in a hallway where anyone can find us at any moment.” You say and he grins before taking your hand and pulling you behind him out the back door of the club. You’re barely able to keep up with his long strides as he leads you to his car in the parking lot, unlocking it and holding the passenger door open for you.
You glance around, trying to make sure no one has seen you and that there are no paparazzi before you duck in the car.
You take a second to breathe as he rounds the car to the driver’s side and gets in.
“Where to?” he asks, starting the car.
“I’m living with my brother until season starts back…” you respond.
“My place it is then.”
He pins you against the apartment door as soon as you’re both inside, and you look up at him expectantly.
“You look so beautiful.” He says and you feel your cheeks heat.
“Thank you.” You respond softly and he smiles at you before kissing you gently.
He slides his hands down your sides, following your curves as his mouth kisses across your jaw and down onto your neck for the third time that night.
“Tell me this is going where I think it is.” He says, dragging his nose up the side of your neck.
“Well I didn’t come home with you to have a tea party.” You respond and he laughs.
“You let me know if you want to stop at any point, oui?”
“Oui.” You reply before pressing your lips back to his. His hands roam over your ass and down to grip your thighs.
“Jump up for me.” He says and you do so, wrapping your legs around him as your dress bunches up over your hips. He carries you through his apartment and tosses you gently on the bed as you let out a yelp.
“Pierre!”
“What? You’re not that fragile, princesse.”
“How would you know?” you ask, fake scowling up at him as you kick your shoes off into his room.
“You don’t think I’ve watched you over the years, hmm? Don’t think I’ve wanted you since I laid eyes on you that first time?” he gracefully climbs over you on the bed, laying you back as your breath catches at his words.
“That was 5 years ago…” you say as he leans on his elbows above you, encasing you under him completely.
“I know.” He says tracing a hand over your cheek before kissing you softly.
“Lando told me to stay away from the other drivers, but I couldn’t help being attracted to you.”
“Please don’t talk about your brother right now.” He groans, dropping his face into your neck as you giggle.
“Did you miss the part where I said I’m attracted to you?”
“Oh I already knew that mon amour. You aren’t as subtle as you think you are with your staring…”
“Lando is about as subtle as an elephant, so I’d like to say I’m at least better than him.”
“Please stop talking about your brother.” He says, biting into your throat gently.
You laugh, and he smirks as he sits back on his knees, pulling his shirt off before reaching for the hem of your dress. You shift to help him as he slides it up your body.
After your dress has been pulled fully off, Pierre grabs your wrists, pinning your hands above your head and holding them there.
“Can you keep those up for me, or do I need to find something to tie them with?” He asks and your hips jerk up into his unconsciously at the thought as he smirks. “I’ll remember that for next time, but will you answer me?”
“I’ll keep them up.” You respond quietly and he lets go, sliding his hands down your arms before settling them on your chest.
His thumbs tease over your nipples through the lacy bra you’re wearing.
“Pierre…” you sigh, your eyes fluttering shut as he lowers his mouth to graze his teeth over and lick one of the now stiff buds.
“Does that feel good, mon ange?” he asks, and you nod. “Words, please.”
“Yes. I need more.” You say, opening your eyes to look down at him. His blue eyes are darker than normal, and his hair is still mussed from pulling his shirt off. He’s between your legs but holding his weight up on his legs and forearms.
You wrap your legs around him and pull him down against you and he laughs.
“You said I couldn’t use my hands but didn’t say anything about my legs.” You smirk and he shakes his head in amusement.
“Oh, I’m definitely tying you down next time.” He says, and your heart skips a beat not just at the promise, but at the thought that he wants to do this again.
He reaches around your back and flicks your bra open easily, pulling it so you can toss it on the floor before you place your hands back on the top of the pillow.
“Good girl.” He says and you moan slightly at the praise tumbling so easily from his lips. He buries his face in between your breasts, taking a breath before planting a gentle kiss and moving back to your nipple with his mouth. His hand comes up to massage your other breast as he teases you. You grip the pillow to keep yourself from running your hands through his hair as you bite your lip.
His kisses trail from one breast to the other and then trail down your stomach as you sigh.
“Still okay?” he asks.
“Yes,” you breathe, and he shifts his body down the bed.
“All this is for me?” he asks as he admires the wet patch on your panties before tracing a finger over it. Your hips buck towards his touch, and he slides his hands to your waist, slipping the panties down your legs and tossing them behind him.
Settling back between your legs and placing your knees over his shoulders, he starts slowly with kisses and love bites to your thighs before getting to where you’re actually craving him.
“Pierre!” you gasp as he licks through your wet folds, sliding his tongue deliciously around your clit.
“You are perfect.” He says softly before pressing his mouth back on your core, his facial hair tickling the inside of your thighs as you sigh in pleasure.
He works you thoroughly with his tongue, building the tension inside you as you reach for your peak. You’re lost to the sensation, and you thread your hand through his hair. He pulls back and looks up at you as your chest heaves and you whine at the loss of contact.
“Mon amour didn’t I tell you to keep your hands up?” he asks, and you release him, placing it back above your head.
“I’m sorry…”
“Do you want me to make you cum?”
“Yes, please” you breathe, closing your eyes again.
“Then behave.” You squeal as you feel his hand slap against the side of your ass sharply.
He goes back to sucking at your clit and moves a hand between your legs to slip a finger into you. You groan at the feeling, and he adds another.
He curls them against your soft walls and your hips buck as you build back towards your orgasm. His fingers work you rhythmically while his tongue dances around and across your clit. His teeth gently graze it and then he sucks while pressing his fingers into your g spot. Your legs are shaking, and you cry out as you orgasm. He works you through it before slowing his fingers down and sliding them out.
“Fuck you’re so good at that.” You groan and you feel his smile as he presses a kiss to your thigh.
“You’re so wet for me my pretty girl…” He says, climbing up next to you and dropping a kiss to your temple.
“Can I touch you now?” you ask and he smiles.
“Yes. You were a very good girl for me.”
You grab the chain hanging around his neck and pull him down into a kiss, tasting yourself on his lips and tongue.
You slide your arms around him, scratching lightly down his back and he sighs into your kiss.
“You have too much clothing on still.” You say and he moves so he’s standing next to the bed.
You admire his physique – the abs, the v cut of his hips, and the smattering of hair trailing down into his jeans as he unzips them and pulls them down his thighs. He shuffles them the rest of the way off, left before you now in just his boxer briefs, and your mouth waters at the sight of his bulge.
Needing to touch him now that you’re allowed, you sit up and hook your fingers in the waistband of his boxers. His arms are down by his sides, letting you do as you please, and your breath catches when you pull down on the fabric and his cock springs free. You curl your hand around him, enamored by how hot and heavy he feels in your hand.
“Mon dieu” he groans as you stroke along his length a few times.
“I’ll say…” you murmur, not realizing you’d said it out loud until he chuckles.
“Don’t worry mon amour, you can take it.” He says and your eyes snap to meet his as you lick your lips. You’re not sure you agree, but you aren’t about to quit now.
“Should I show you what I’ve been wanting to do with you?” he asks, his voice rough with desire now that you’re touching him finally.
You nod and he’s back over you quickly, his briefs discarded, and nothing between you now as you lay flat on his bed. Your legs spread easily for him, and he kisses you lazily, his tongue tangling with yours as he slides gently through your folds.
“You ready?” he asks, and you nod but he raises an eyebrow at you for a real answer.
“Please…” you manage, and he rubs the head over your clit before sliding it inside, meeting some slight resistance despite how wet you are and the prep he’s already done. You breathe through it, tilting your hips for more of him as he slides in slowly letting you adjust to the feel of him stretching and filling you.
“You’re so tight mon ange. You feel so good around me.” He groans, dropping his head into your neck, placing gentle kisses. “You okay?”
“Yes.” You manage out on a breathy moan as he rocks back and forth to stretch you a little more, being gentle but still very sure in his movements. His hips press against yours as he’s finally fully seated in you and you both moan at the feeling of him filling you so perfectly.
You grip his shoulders as he thrusts slowly and shallowly at first, letting you adjust as he gives you more, little by little. Each movement is a little harder than the last. His hips roll against you and your back arches, drawing him in as your body begs for more.
“Faster.” You plead and he’s more than happy to give you what you’re asking for.
Your body is soon meeting his thrusts, your hardened nipples brushing against his chest as you slide your arms around his back and scratch into his skin. His chain is dangling against you, warm from his skin, and you can’t resist grabbing him by it again, pulling him down for a sloppy kiss.
The pressure is building again for you, almost ready to explode, but you need a little more. As if sensing it, Pierre slides a hand between your bodies and finds your clit with his thumb. The tight circles he draws are the push that sends you into your second orgasm of the night and he groans at the feeling of you clenching around him.
“I’ve got you.” he says, almost panting in your ear. You turn your head, your lips connecting with his in another kiss. He allows you a moment to recover, pushing slowly in and out of you until your eyes refocus on his. He shifts your legs up on his hips as he adjusts for more leverage, changing the angle and quickening his pace. You’re more sensitive now, and a soft cry falls from your mouth as his thumb finds your clit again.
“Can you give me another?” he murmurs in your ear, his facial hair brushing against your cheek as you shake your head.
“I can’t” you gasp, shutting your eyes as you feel the ache growing again.
“Look at me.” He says, grabbing your chin as you open your eyes again. He’s pushed up on his arms, staring intensely as he drives into you. He’s determined now – determined to give you everything and to take what he wants. There is no hesitancy as he thrusts and your head swims with the sensations before your body explodes again.
He’s muttering praises to you in French, but you understand the sentiment even if you don’t know all of the words. Your mind is spinning, feeling drunk on this moment with him as his hips stutter.
He buries his face back in your neck, teeth grazing the skin while he moans your name as his release overcomes him. He thrusts through his orgasm as you skim your hands over his shoulders and down his back before he collapses against you. He’s careful not to crush you, but his weight is comforting in the afterglow.
You both lay like this for a bit, hands tracing over the other's body before he moves to kiss you softly.
“That was worth the wait.” He says with a smile, and you shove his shoulder with a small laugh.
“Incroyable, mon amour. Incroyable,” you reply, and his eyes light up.
“Is that the only French you know?”
“Just about. Will you teach me more?” you ask, and he nods, a smile still spread on his face.
“Bien sûr. You just have to spend more time with me to really learn.”
“I’m amenable to that.” You reply and he kisses you again.
As your kiss ends, he lifts up, sliding out of you as your walls flutter at the loss.
“Let’s get you cleaned up and then we can rest.” He says, kissing your forehead before standing up and holding out a hand to help you out of the bed.
The next morning you’re leaning against his counter in the kitchen, sipping at a cup of tea, when there is a knock at his door. Pierre comes out of the bedroom in just a pair of sweats, crossing to open it. You bite your lip at the sight of him, shirtless and fresh from the shower.
“Oh,” Pierre says once he swings the door open, “HI CHARLES.”
“Why are you yelling? And why aren’t you dressed to go yet?” you hear Charles say from the other side of the door, and your mug clatters to the counter.
Pierre glances over at you in the kitchen, your eyes wide with alarm, and he quickly gestures for you to go into the bedroom. You sprint into his room, shutting the door heavily as Charles laughs.
“Ah, that is why you’re not ready to go.” Charles said. “Are you still going to come play padel with Max, Lando, and I?”
“Yes, yes. I’ll get changed and we can go. Just wait here.” Pierre says, gesturing for Charles to come in before closing the door behind him.
He comes into the bedroom where you are sitting on the edge of the bed, chewing on your nail.
“Pierre what the fuck!?” you whisper angrily as he shuts the door.
“I forgot we had plans and he was picking me up!” Pierre whispers loudly back.
“Not just plans! You’re hanging out with my brother!” you hiss.
“Okay so the timing is shit, but I’m not going to say anything to them.” He says with a shrug, stripping his sweats off to change.
“The timing is shit? You conveniently forgot last night when you decided to bring me home that you were seeing my brother today?” you say.
“I didn’t conveniently forget, I just actually forgot. I told you I’ve wanted you for years, and when we kissed at the club, I had to take my chance.”
Charles was too nosy not to come closer to Pierre’s room as he heard angry sounding voices faintly through the door.
“Pierre…” you say softly, walking to him as he finishes changing into his athletic gear.
“Are you mad at me?” he asks, looking down into your eyes.
“When you talk about how you’ve pined for me kind of makes it hard to stay annoyed.” You chuckle, placing your hands on his shoulders, and leaning up to kiss him softly.
“Mon amour, I have to go. Will you stay here while I’m gone?” he asks.
“I can’t stay Pierre; I was supposed to be back at Lando’s last night. He’s going to ask too many questions if I’m gone for too long.”
“OH MY GOD!” you hear Charles yell from the other side of the door. He’d been trying to place your voice this whole time, and now he was shaking with laughter as he put the pieces together. “Lando is going to push you off the track when he finds out.”
Pierre flings the bedroom door open to see Charles still laughing. You were standing behind Pierre in a pair of his shorts and a tee.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay by the door?” Pierre asks.
“You know I’m too nosy for that.” Charles says with a grin, peeking around Pierre at you. “Hi Norris.”
“Hi Leclerc,” you reply with a sigh.
“Lando is definitely going to murder you.” Charles says to Pierre, and you roll your eyes.
“He won’t if you don’t say anything to him.” You say, a threat evident in your tone.
I'm thinking of making a part 2 to this where Lando finds out. Let me know if you'd be interested!

masterlist // send in your requests
You were early to class. Of course you were. You always were.
Third row, center seat, laptop open, color-coded tabs at the ready. A half-full travel mug of lukewarm coffee parked beside your laptop. Just like it was the entire semester.
You had a system, and it worked. Show up. Take your notes. Outperform on exams. Repeat.
You were there to maintain your GPA, stack your resume, and get into a grad program that didn’t have the words safety school attached to it.
But the final project? It was 40% of your grade. You would’ve felt more confident going into it had your professor not been committed to “collaboration and real-world application”. In other words, that meant your future was now hinged on someone else’s work ethic.
And today was the day partners were going to be announced.
You tried to stay calm, eyes fixed on the assignment brief pulled up on your laptop. The requirements seared into your brain by now - thesis proposals due next week, annotated bibliography three weeks after that, and the final paper due on the last day of class.
You didn’t need a partner. You just needed control.
You just hoped it wouldn’t be him.
Pierre Gasly. The charismatic international student who somehow manages to coast through every class you’ve ever had with him without ever appearing to try.
He always showed up at the last minute, when he showed up at all. Slept through half the lectures, flirted through the other half, and still managed to charm professors into extensions and bonus points.
He was infuriating. Effortlessly social, unfairly good-looking, and always surrounded by a rotating group of loud friends and quieter admirers.
He walked in exactly with two minutes to spare, pushing his sunglasses into his messy hair as if he hadn’t just jogged across campus in designer sneakers. He wore a hoodie under an expensive looking coat, protein shake in one hand, and his phone in the other.
You didn’t look at him, not directly.
But you heard him. The soft creak of the chair, the low hum of his laugh at something on his screen. The tiny sound of him twisting the cap off that stupid shake.
As your professor began reading off names, grouping pairs together as a Google sheet appeared on the projector. You focused on the words on your screen instead, reading the project description for the fourth time even though your fingers were twitching with anxiety.
“...Gasly and…”
No.
No. No.
“...Y/L/N”
Your head snapped up at the exact moment Pierre looked over his shoulder. He smiled. That smug, knowing smile that made it clear he already expected this. As if the universe owed him convenient luck.
Your stomach dropped.
He turned fully in his chair and raised his protein shake in a mock toast. “Looks like we’ll be spending some quality time together,” he said across the room.
You didn’t respond. Just stared. Because of course it was Pierre.
You packed up the second class ended, snapping your laptop shut and jamming it into your bag before the professor even dismissed you. You slipped out the side door before most students had stood up, walking fast, refusing to look back.
You made it halfway down the hallway.
“Hey, partner.”
You closed your eyes briefly. Then turned.
Pierre was there, keeping pace beside you with easy steps, walking backward like he wasn’t a risk of crashing into anything. His grin was relaxed. Unbothered. Infuriating.
“I was thinking we could meet at the student center?” he offered. “Or are you more of a library type?”
You stared at him, unimpressed. “Do you actually plan on contributing? Or are you just hoping I’ll let you coast like you have all semester?”
That knocked the grin off his face, just for a second. Then he leaned in, just enough to make your breath hitch, and said, “I don’t coast,” he said, voice lower now, accent curling just a little thicker around the edges of his words. “I just don’t make it look hard.”
His eyes lingered on you a beat too long before he stepped back. “I’ll bring coffee,” he added, lightly. “Tomorrow?”
You didn’t flinch. You gave him your best unimpressed voice: “Tomorrow. Student center. Don’t be late.”
You didn’t wait for an answer. Just turned and walked away, chin high.
On the outside, you were calm. Controlled.
On the inside, you were a mess.
Because the only thought in your head was: how does he know how I take my coffee?
The student center at 9:45 a.m. was busy enough to feel alive, but quiet enough to work - the hum of espresso machines, the low murmur of conversations, the occasional hiss of steam punctuating the air like marks in a paragraph. The smell of coffee clung to the space, warm and grounding, while the sunlight streaming through the wide glass window caught dust motes floating lazily in the air.
You claimed a corner table, the one with an outlet nearby, spreading your laptop, notebook, and neatly stacked articles across the surface like you were preparing for battle. Your highlighters sat in a perfect row. Color-coded tabs peeked out from your reading packet like soldiers ready for deployment.
You checked the time.
9:58.
You drummed your pen against your notebook, each tap a small countdown in your head. He was going to be late. No surprise. Pierre was the kind of person you’d pegged as allergic to punctuality.
Then a shadow fell across your table.
Pierre.
On time. And holding two coffee to-go mugs in one hand like it was the most natural thing in the world, a mischievous tilt tugging at the corner of his smile.
He set one in front of you with a soft thunk. “Oat milk latte, one pump vanilla, extra hot.”
You blinked, halfway between impressed and suspicious. “How-”
He slid into the chair across from you like it was nothing. “I pay attention.”
That was the problem. You did not want Pierre Gasly to be the kind of person who paid attention.
“Alright,” you said, flipping open your notes, refusing to acknowledge the tiniest of flutters in your chest. “We have six weeks. Thesis proposal due in seven days. I was thinking we divide the reading list and -”
“-work on it together,” he interrupted, leaning back into his chair like he had all the time in the world. “You do your part, I do mine, but we talk through it so it actually flows.”
You stared at him. “That’s… actually reasonable.”
He smirked. “Don’t look so surprised.”
You dove into the articles, the rustle of paper and the scratch of pens filling the space between you. You outlined key points, highlighted, occasionally glancing up to find Pierre… actually working. He wasn’t scrolling his phone, he wasn’t distracted. He was annotating, flipping back and forth between sources, brow furrowed in the kind of focus you’d only ever associated with people who cared.
And when he did speak, it was insightful. Annoyingly so.
“So if we frame the argument around post-colonial economic policy,” he said, tapping the edge of your notebook with his pen, “we can use this case study as a counterexample. It makes the conclusion stronger.”
You didn’t answer right away. Mostly because you were too busy recalibrating your entire perception of him. When had the flirtatious slacker turned into a secret academic weapon?
Two hours later, you had a rough thesis, a shared Google Doc, and a dangerous awareness of how good he looked with his sleeves pushed up, pen twirling between his fingers as he explained a point, his voice low enough that you had to lean in to catch every word.
At one point, he caught you looking.
“What?” he asked, grinning like he already knew.
“Nothing,” you lied, snapping your laptop shut before your mouth could betray you. “Wanna do Thursday evening?”
Pierre stood up, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. “Sure. And, Y/N?”
You looked back up at him, prepared for another cocky remark.
“I told you,” he said, that grin softening into something almost genuine. “I don’t coast.”
Then, he walked off, leaving you with your perfectly highlighted notes, an empty coffee cup, and the very real problem of finding Pierre a little too distracting.
By the time Thursday rolled around, you’d told yourself three times that it was just another study session. Nothing unusual. Just two people working towards a grade.
And yet, you still found yourself checking your reflection in the glass door before walking in.
The student center was a different creature at night. The overhead lights were dimmer, pools of warm yellow spilling across tables instead of the bright glare of the morning. The cafe counter was already shuttered, chairs stacked along the wall. Most of the noise came from the hum of the vending machine and the occasional clink of keys from a custodian making rounds.
Pierre was already there.
He was slouched in the same corner table you’d claimed last time, hoodie sleeves pushed up, laptop open, papers spread in a kind of organized chaos. He looked up when you approached, his expression softening.
“You’re late,” he teased lightly.
You set your bag down, pulling out your notebook. “Two minutes is not late.”
“It is when I’m waiting.” His tone was casual, but something about the way he said it made you focus very hard on uncapping your pen.
You worked in relative silence at first, the quiet of the almost-empty room making every sound sharper, your pen scratching, the click of his trackpad, the rustle of paper as you both reached for the same article. Your fingers brushed his, barely, but enough to make you pull your hand back like you touched a live wire.
Pierre didn’t comment. But his mouth twitched.
Around 10:30, the building’s PA system crackled to life. “Attention: the student center will be closing in thirty minutes. Please make your way out.”
You sighed, underlining a sentence in the book between you. “We’re not even halfway through this section.”
“We’ll finish,” Pierre said, glancing at the clock. “Just… maybe faster”
The minutes ticked down. Your words got shorter, quicker, the pace more clipped as you tried to squeeze in every last note before the lights flickered - a not-so-subtle warning from the staff.
By the time the PA voice returned to announce, “Ten minutes until closing,” you were both leaning over the same page, shoulders nearly touching. The warmth of him was distracting. You could see the steady movement of his breathing, smell the faint trace of his cologne. Something fresh, clean, just a little sharp.
Pierre closed his laptop with a decisive snap. “Okay. We’ve done enough for tonight.”
The thought of protesting crossed your mind, but the fact you had plans with your friends after this, and that he was already stacking papers, you fought the urge to.
You stepped out into the crisp night air together, the student center door locking behind you with a heavy click. The campus was quiet, lit by streetlamps and the distant glow of dorm windows.
Pierre shoved his hands in his pockets, looking down at you. “Tuesday morning?”
You nodded. “Sure.”
He smiled. Not the smug, knowing one you were used to, but something easier. “Good. I like working with you.”
And then he turned toward the parking lot, leaving you under the streetlamp with a strange, fluttery feeling.
That fluttery feeling followed you all the way to your apartment. It was pitch black, save for the single lamp your roommates left on for you, casting a soft, warm glow across the room. They were already at your favorite bar, probably halfway through a pitcher and loudly debating something ridiculous, their laughter echoing faintly from the last time you said you’d join them. You tossed your bag on the couch, changed into your favorite going out outfit, and headed back out.
The night air was just as crisp as it was before, the kind that made you tuck your hands into your jacket pockets and walk a little faster. The bar’s amber glow spilled generously onto the pavement, warm and golden against the darkness, inviting you in like a beacon. The low hum of music, mingled with laughter and the murmur of conversations, seeped through the door and wrapped around you like a familiar embrace.
Inside, the air was thick with the smell of beer, cheap perfume, tinged with the unmistakable aroma of something frying in the back kitchen. You spotted your friends immediately - clustered in the same corner booth you always claimed as your territory, faces animated and glowing in the dim light. One of them was laughing so hard they were doubled over, a look of pure joy that made your chest warm. You waved, weaving through the crowd towards them.
But just before you reached them, you stopped at the bar to order a drink. The sticky counter felt familiar against your forearms, a tactile reminder of countless nights like this. The hum of the bar wrapped around you, music, laughter, the clink of glasses.
Within moments, your order was placed and a fruity little cocktail was set into your hand. You were about to pull out your card to pay and signal to close your tab, but before you could, an arm reached around from behind you.
The hand was steady, and unmistakably familiar. You glanced over your shoulder, only fully turning around when you realized it was Pierre.
“Let me,” he said, voice low and smooth, fingers brushing your card away with effortless confidence.
Your eyes widened, caught off guard but strangely glad. “Not a coaster, and a gentleman.”
He grinned, taking a step closer, his presence suddenly feeling too near yet somehow exactly right. “Only for the right people.”
The bartender gave you a curious glance but stayed silent as Pierre settled the tab. You tucked your card back into your wallet, cheeks heating with a sudden rush of warmth.
“So,” Pierre said, taking a sip of his beer, his gaze playful. “I didn’t take you as one to go out for Thirsty Thursday.”
You shrugged, taking a slow sip of your cocktail, the fruity sweetness a sharp contrast to the burn of the alcohol sliding down your throat. “I’m not. Usually just Friday and Saturday,” you admitted. “But when the friend group calls, you answer,” you said, nodding your head to the group of girls in the corner booth. Their attention was now on you and the man you were talking to.
Pierre followed your gaze and smirked. “They look like they’re having a good time.”
“They always do,” you said with a small smile, feeling a flicker of warmth at how easily you fit in with them.
Pierre’s eyes softened just a bit, the teasing light dimming into something more sincere. “You know, you don’t have to be just the responsible one all the time,” he said quietly. “Sometimes it’s okay to just… be.”
You met his gaze, surprised at the unexpected sincerity in his tone. “Maybe you’re right.”
A playful grin returned to his lips. “Of course I am. I’m never wrong.”
You rolled your eyes, laughter bubbling up naturally as the tension between you softened, the air around the two of you easing into something warm.
Your friends called your name over the thumping of the bass, breaking the moment. Pierre’s smile didn’t fade as he nudged you lightly. “Go on. I’ll be here.”
You hesitated, then stepped toward the booth, your heart still fluttering - caught somewhere between the familiar and the unpredictable.
The classroom felt unusually warm, the morning sun streamed in through the windows and cast a golden haze over the desks. Your head throbbed faintly - a dull reminder of last night’s cocktails and laughter just lingering beneath the surface. You blinked a few times, trying to get your notes in order before class started.
Pierre slouched into the seat beside you, a place he took ever since the two of you started working on that paper together. His eyes were half-lidded, dark circles betraying the late night he’d just survived. He gave you a sideways glance, lips twitching in a tired smirk.
“Rough night?” you whispered, elbowing him lightly.
He groaned softly, rubbing at his temple. “You could say that. Ran into my friends on the karting team after I saw you, and they know how to have a good time.”
You stifled a laugh, shaking your head. “That sounds like a disaster.”
Pierre smirked, raising an eyebrow. “Hey, I’m a professional.”
“Right,” you said, rolling your eyes. “Totally.”
Before he could respond, the professor walked in, scattering the last bits of conversation like leaves in the wind. His voice was steady as he lectured, but somehow louder than usual in the sleepy morning haze. He flipped through slides with dense text and diagrams, outlining the framework for the final project with meticulous detail. You scribbled notes mechanically, your pen sometimes faltering as a sharp pang pulsed behind your eyes.
Pierre glanced at his laptop screen, toggling between the lecture slides and the shared document for your paper. He leaned toward you, whispering, “Think we should start drafting the introduction today?”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “I thought we were meeting on Tuesday to do that?” You questioned
He shrugged. “It might be easier to get it done in pieces. Plus, I think we could both go for a coffee.”
You paused, considering. The idea of caffeine was tempting - your head still felt like it was wrapped in cotton, and the professor’s voice was starting to blur into background noise. You glanced at Pierre, who looked like he was barely holding himself upright, and then back at your half-filled notebook.
“Fine,” you whispered, a reluctant smile tugging at your lips. “But only if you promise not to fall asleep mid-sentence.”
Pierre grinned, victorious. “Deal.”
As soon as class ended, the two of you slipped out with the quiet urgency of students escaping a lecture that had gone on just a little too long. The hallway was cooler than the classroom, the air brisk and refreshing. You walked side by side, your steps syncing naturally as you made your way toward the cafe down the street.
The rich smell of freshly ground beans and warm pastries wrapped around you like a comforting blanket the second you stepped in the door. You both ordered your drinks (black coffee for Pierre, and an oat milk latte with vanilla for you) and found a small table near the window, where the sunlight streamed in golden and warm.
Pierre opened his laptop, the screen casting a glow on his face. “Okay,” he said, “let’s get this shit over with.”
Just like you did the night before in the student center, the two of you worked in tandem, bouncing ideas off of each other like the two of you weren’t severely exhausted from the night before. The introduction came together faster than you expected, the rhythm of your collaboration smooth and intuitive. Time flew by, and before you knew it, the coffee kicked in and the introduction was roughly done.
Pierre leaned back, stretching his arms behind his head. “I think we’ve got a solid start. Wanna read it over?”
You nodded, shifting yourself closer to him. You skimmed through the sentences, your eyes catching both familiar points and fresh angles. As you read, your knees knocked against his, but neither of you moved. Pierre only watched you carefully, waiting for your reaction.
“It’s good,” you said finally, tapping a finger on the table. “Clear, concise. I like how you framed the thesis. It’s strong without being overbearing.”
He smirked, clearly pleased. “I was aiming for that. Thanks.”
You nodded, checking the time. Your next class started in a few minutes. “Look, I gotta get going,” you said, as you began to pack up your things.
“I get it,” he said, watching as you prepared to leave.
You slung your backpack over your shoulders and turned to leave, when he spoke again.
“Hey,” he called, voice much softer than what it was before. You turned around to see him looking at you, head tilted slightly. “You free tomorrow?”
Your eyes widened, surprised. “Depends. Why?”
He shrugged, trying to sound casual, but not quite pulling it off. “Karting team is throwing all day tomorrow. Didn’t know if you wanted to go with me.”
“The karting team is throwing, and you want me to go with you?”
Pierre nodded, eyes flickering down for a second before meeting yours again. “Yeah. They throw a big one every semester. It’s kind of a thing. Music, drinks, people pretending they know how to dance. I thought it might be fun.”
You hesitated, the idea swirling in your mind. House parties weren’t exactly your thing, you were more of a bar person. But there was something about the way Pierre talked about it. Like it was a break from the stress. A chance to let go for a while.
“Who’s going?” you asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
He leaned back, stretching again. “Most of the team. A few people from class. Some randos. It’s not super exclusive or anything. But I figured…” He trailed off, then added,” I figured it’d be better if you were there.”
Your heart did a small, traitorous flip.
You gave a half smile. “Fine, I’ll go.”
Pierre’s grin widened, genuine and a little relieved. “Great. I’ll text you the details.”
The music hit you first. Bass-heavy, pulsing through the ground like a heartbeat. Then the lights: strings of warm bulbs crisscrossed above the yard, casting a glow over the crowd. People were everywhere - clustered around the fire pit, dancing near the speakers, laughing with red plastic cups in hand.
You stepped through the gate, scanning the crowd. It didn’t take long to spot Pierre.
He was leaning against the railing near the back porch, talking to someone from class. His jacket was half-zipped, hair a little messier than usual, and when his eyes caught yours, he straightened up instantly.
You saw the shift in his face - surprise, then something softer. He excused himself and walked toward you, weaving through the crowd with practiced ease.
“You made it,” he said, voice raised just enough to be heard over the music.
You nodded, smiling. “Wouldn’t miss it.”
Pierre handed you a cup - cold, fizzy, and something vaguely citrus. “The punch. No promises.”
You took a tentative sip, the sweetness of the punch hitting your tongue just before the faint burn of alcohol settled in. Around you, the party buzzed.
Pierre’s gaze lingered on you a little longer than necessary, his smile lazy but attentive. “Careful,” he said, nodding towards your cup. “That stuff sneaks up on you.”
You smirked. “Sounds like you’re speaking from experience.”
“Maybe.” He tilted his head, stepping a little closer so you could hear him over the bass. “But I’d hate to see you make the same mistakes I did.”
“Protective, are we?” you teased, arching a brow
“Only when I want someone to stick around.” The words came easy for him, but the look in his eyes showed a glimpse of sincerity.
Your head cocked slightly, caught off guard by the quip. You couldn’t tell if that was just him trying to make sure you didn’t black out early, or if there was something underneath.
Before you could ask what he meant, someone called his name from across the yard, but Pierre didn’t move. He leaned one shoulder against the railing beside you, his body angled toward yours.
“So,” he said, eyes scanning your face like he was cataloguing every expression, “are you planning on dancing tonight, or are you just here for the… ambience?”
“That depends,” you said, swirling the punch in your cup. “You asking me to dance?”
“Maybe I am,” he said, grin tugging wider. “But only if you promise not to laugh at my moves.”
“I make no promises,” you shot back, but when he offered his hand, you took it anyway.
The bass thudded through your chest as Piere guided you into the fray, weaving between clusters of people until you were right in the middle of it.
The music wasn’t exactly your style - something poppy with a relentless beat - but Pierre seemed to find the rhythm instantly. He moved easily, loose-limbed and relaxed, the kind of dancing that looked unplanned but somehow worked.
You laughed, shaking your head. “You weren’t kidding about your moves.”
“Not bad though, right?” he said, leaning closer so his words brushed against your ear.
“Not bad,” you admitted, letting the music pull you in just enough to sway along.
Pierre’s grin widened, and his hands found your waist - not possessive, just steadying - drawing you a fraction closer. The warmth of him contrasted with the cool night air, and suddenly the music felt less overwhelming.
“You’re better at this than you’re pretending,” he said, eyes locking with yours in a way that made the noise of the party fade for a moment.
“Maybe I just needed the right partner,” you replied, your voice light but your pulse anything but.
His gaze dipped briefly to your mouth before flicking back up, the flicker of hesitation gone in an instant. “Then I’m glad I asked.”
By the time you left the party, your head was pleasantly buzzing - not just from the questionable punch, but from Pierre. The way he’d leaned in when he talked, the way his hand had lingered at the small of your back, the way you caught him smiling at you when he thought you weren’t looking.
You half expected Tuesday to be awkward. That maybe whatever easy, fizzy thing had bubbled up between you would fizzle in the fluorescent-lit reality of the student center. But when you walked in, Pierre was already there, slouched comfortably at the same corner table, two drinks in front of him.
He looked up when the sound of your footsteps filled the room, and that easy, unshakable grin spread across his face. “Morning, sunshine,” he said, sliding the cup toward the empty chair without breaking eye contact.
You glanced at the sticker - oat milk latte with vanilla, extra hot - and felt your lips twitch upward as you set your bag down.
“You’re either very thoughtful for getting me coffee twice without asking, or very determined to butter me up so I’ll do all the work.”
Pierre leaned back in his chair, feigning innocence. “Can I just be nice without ulterior motives?”
You arched a brow. “Can you?”
His smirk deepened. “Touche.”
The first sip warmed you from the inside, the sweetness blooming on your tongue. You tried not to think too hard about the fact that he definitely had your order memorized now, and he’d gone out of his way to get it.
Pierre flipped open his laptop, the soft click of the hinge breaking the moment. “Alright,” he said, “let’s see if we can make this sound like two intelligent people wrote it.”
“Two intelligent people are writing it,” you corrected, settling into your seat.
You opened your own laptop, falling into the familiar rhythm you’d already built together. But now, there was a new undercurrent - little glances exchanged over the tops of your screens, the faintest curve of his lips when you caught him looking.
When you leaned over to point out a phrasing issue in the draft, your shoulder brushed his, and instead of moving away, he tilted slightly toward you, closing the space.
He glanced at you, eyes lingering a beat too long. “Careful,” he said quietly, the playful edge in his voice undercut by something more intent. “Keep helping me like that and I might start thinking you like working with me.”
You kept your gaze on the screen, though you could feel the corner of your mouth tug upward. “Maybe I do.”
His chuckle was soft but unmistakable, the kind of sound that told you he’d just found his favorite part of the day.
And that’s how it went for the next few weeks.
Study sessions that were supposed to be about the final paper and looming deadlines turned into quiet competitions over who could make the other break focus first. You’d catch him smirking at something he’d just typed into the shared Google Doc - an inside joke that only made sense to the two of you - and then have to bite your lip to keep from laughing too loud in the quiet student center. Coffee orders no longer needed to be spoken; he’d hand you your drink without looking, already knowing it was exactly how you liked it.
Sometimes, he’d lean his shoulder against yours when you sat too close, his arm warm through his hoodie. At first, you thought it was accidental. Then you realized neither of you moved away.
Some days, you swore he was flirting. Other days, you convinced yourself you were imagining it, until he’d drop a comment so perfectly timed and intentionally sharp-edged that you spent the rest of the day replaying it in your head, wondering exactly how much he’d meant it.
By the third week, you were finishing each other’s sentences in the paper. By the fourth, you were finishing each other’s snacks, stealing fries from his tray without asking and only getting a mock glare in return. By the fifth, you were wondering if maybe, just maybe, Pierre Gasly was waiting for the right moment to ask you out.
That moment came on a Tuesday.
The table between you was littered with papers, highlighters, and the empty remains of a pastry you’d split without thinking about it. You were halfway through editing the final paper, red pen in hand jotting down notes in the margin, when Pierre set his own pen down with a little click. He leaned back in his chair, arms folding loosely as his gaze lingered on you he’d just made up his mind about something.
“So,” he said casually, like he was asking what time your next class was, “when are we going out?”
You paused, the tip of your pen hovering over the page. “Going out…where?”
His grin was maddeningly slow, like he was savoring every second. “Anywhere. Somewhere with food. Or drinks. Preferably both. I’m flexible.”
You set the pen down, crossing your arms as if that would stop your heart from thudding so hard. “That’s a bold assumption. Thinking I’d say yes before you even ask me properly.”
Pierre tilted his head, eyes sparkling in a way that made you forget what you were even doing. “Alright. Fine.” He straightened in his chair, cleared his throat in mock seriousness. “Would you, my brilliant and equally sarcastic paper partner, like to go out with me this weekend?”
You tried for nonchalance, but your smile betrayed you. “I’ll think about it.”
His laugh was low and warm, but there was a sparkle of satisfaction there, like he knew exactly what your answer would be. “Don’t think too long, sunshine. I’ve got reservations to make.”
