you laughed loudly.

gabi stepped in. “2018: you doodled on my helmet. again.”
charles smiled at you, face slightly pained. “2019: you were my rock after anthione died. you’re the reason i kept racing.”
you felt the first tear form but didn’t wipe it away.
“2020: you cursed christian horner and helmut marco to hell and back, in three languages, after i was demoted back to toro rosso,” alex laughed as he spoke. he had been privvy to that specific rant.
“2021,” oscar said, soline on his hip. “you made me a dad for the first time.”
“2022: you encouraged me to sign with alpine,” george said.
