ā¦
Max Verstappen
- Continuing last yearās tradition, Max decided to be a cat again this time. As for youā¦.idk if a litter box is an upgrade from the cat tree or not, but thatās what youāre gonna get
- Did he show this costume to Jimmy and Sassy? Yes he did. Did they hissed at him and tried to scratch him? Also yes! He called it āConstructive Criticismā and left the room muttering āI have to do better next yearā
- The other drivers werenāt really surprised. They were expecting something cat themed. Although they did not expect theyād see Max Verstappen in tutu
Lando Norris
- Did you want to be SpongeBob? No, but you did it anyway because:
(A) Lando was so passionate about the idea you couldnāt just say no to him
(B) You lost a bet! So you literally couldnāt say no to him
- More than the party, he had fun painting your body and making his pointy head. Although, he didnāt do a great job because by the end of the night, your white shirt was pink and yellow
- The first hour of the party was goodā¦then Lando spotted Charles. Letās just say he still hasnāt stopped complaining about Charles stealing his āthunderā
Oscar Piastri
- Did he want to be Boo? No! But he had to š¤·š»āāļø
- After last yearās costume, Oscar wanted something a little more chalantā¦.thus, Boo and Sully!
- By the end of the night Oscar was exhausted. He just wanted to get out of this costume (and wig) and into his bed. (Was Landoās multiple jokes about āgo through this doorā āIs that your doorā part of the reason? Iāll let you figure that out š¤)
Charles Leclerc
- Did he pick Mr. Krabs because he was red? Yes. 100% yes
- Can you tell Ferrari has fried his brain? Also yes! The concerning part was that Charles already had red body paint with him in his closet (totally not suspicious š¤·š»āāļø)
- He was absolutely furious when he saw that Lando ācopied his costumeā He spent most of the night bickering with him, so much so that people started saying their girlfriends had a better couples costume together (being SpongeBob and Patrick) then they did
Carlos Sainz
- Did he forget about the Halloween bash? Yeah pretty much š
- He ended up ordering the first couples costume he could findā¦which happened to be a two-person dinosaur suit. After 20 minutes of bickering and multiple promises of making it up to you, he finally convinced you to wear the costume
- Somehow, he had the best time of his life with a dinosaur head! He even posted a photo in this costumeā¦and now JVās already texting him, making plans to wear it for their next video
Lewis Hamilton
- An opportunity to dress up and expecting Lewis to not slay? Be for real šāāļø
- Fun fact: the painting on your face was actually done by Lewis! He spent good 4 hours perfecting the makeup
- He was so proud of this! He most definitely has an album named Artwork š¼ļø filled with photos of your face (cheeky, isnāt he š)
George Russell
- Made a bet with Alex again this year, so of course he had to do something unexpected!
- And so, āIce Ice Babyā was born! Yes the baby is his niece. He was so adamant to outshine Alex that he actually made a PowerPoint presentation explaining why he needed her and how sheās an āintegral partā of his costume
- Letās just say George was very pleased with the attention he got the entire night! (Wellā¦most of the attention was towards the baby that he was holding but George would like to think it was towards the both of themā¦.š«¢)
Alex Albon
- Making it a competition and expecting Alex to not give 1000%? Now thatās a rookie mistake!
- He randomly came across the video of Zendaya and Tom Hollandās lip sync battle and since then has spent all his free time trying to perfect the dance routine Tom performed!
- Everyone was so impressed by your performance! Bruno Mars even reposted the reel Williams had posted! And yes, Alex has already texted Tom about how they should perform a duet on Umbrella soon!
Franco Colapinto
- After last yearās questionable costume choices, Franco decided to let you take full control this time and THANK GOD he did!
- I think itās safe to say Beetlejuice and Lydia beats bread and sausage! (Everyone at the party also agrees)
- Lewis was honestly shocked when he saw Francoās costume. For a moment, he genuinely thought Franco came up with it himself! The relief on his face when he found out it was your idea was unmatched! (he had almost moved Franco up to his ācan dress himselfā category)
Pierre Gasly
- Now if this doesnāt prove how much you love this man, idk what will š¤·š»āāļø
- The only plus side of this yearās costume was that you actually got to wear something normalā¦if you ignore the giant horse head, of course
- Based on the photo, youād think Pierre would be the horse and youād be the unicorn, right? Wrong! Charles once told him he liked unicorns as a kid, and Pierre fought long and hard to claim that unicorn head for himself
Daniel Ricciardo
- Every year, Daniel tries to pick a character he can see himself playingā¦which is why, this year heās dressed up as the Purple Minion!
- Now if we compare this from last yearās costume I guess itās an improvement? Last year you were Fiona this year El Machoā¦.not bad, right? š
- Every Halloween is just another attempt for Daniel to convince Max to dress up with him. He wonāt admit it, but you werenāt the first choice for El Macho (Max was š«¢)
Ollie Bearman
- Did the invite say couples costume? Yes. Did Ollie, for a solid minute think about what he and Kimi would wear? Also yes! (But shhhh 𤫠you donāt have to know that)
- Itās now officially a throuple costume! Yay good for you šāāļø
- All in all, it was a fun night for you guys! (Although I think some people might disagree, considering you three kept bumping into everyone all night long)
Isack Hadjar
- A few weeks ago, Isack grabbed your hands, looked you straight in the eye, and said, āYou have to understandā¦I have to do this. Iām Frenchā and left
- At that time, you didnāt think much of it. Looking back, you really shouldāveā¦because now youāre dressed up as Emile š
- Everyone at the party was both impressed and slightly disgusted! Like this costume does take a few minutes to get used to. I mean yāall are basically dressed up as two giant rats..can you blame them š¤·š»āāļø
Kimi Antonelli
- When you asked Kimi about the Halloween costume, he said, āI have the perfect idea for what us three should wear!!ā Iām sorryā¦āus threeā??!??
- And so, I present to you: a lettuce, cheese, and tomato sandwich! Now if youāre assuming youāre the one dressed up as cheese, Iād say do you even know your boyfriend?
- Every time they saw another driver, theyād run run off to say hi, leaving a bread slice with lettuce (you) standing there looking at the two of them like šļøššļø
Gabriel Bortoleto
- Was this Gabiās idea? No! But he did make an adorable deer, yes he did š¦
- Although yāall were dressed up to be āa deer caught in headlightā but more than caught, this deer ended up following his headlight all night long! (Shhhā¦Heās in love, let him be š¤)
Liam Lawson
- Youāre not concerned about his obsession with cars. Youāre actually terrified!
- Obviously, he wanted to be Lighting McQueen and have you as Sally Carrera because ofc he would! šš
- Decided he was gonna make the costume from scratch! Spent every free second of the season cutting, painting, gluing the costume! He so excited to show everyone his costume, he didnāt stop smiling once! š¤

Max Verstappen
I hate to give the satisfaction askin' how you're doin' now
How's the castle built off people you pretend to care about?
Just what you wanted
Look at you, cool guy, you got it
It's weird in a sense to be back here.
Y/n never thought she'd actually come to a race again, but after 500+ calls from Lando and 3 official invites from McLaren, she had no choice but to go to a race. No matter what one says, the Italian Grand Prix has a charm of its own. The fans, the smell of fuel in the air, and Charles' face plastered across every corner, it was all a sight to see.
Entering the paddock, she braced herself for the reactions. No one except the McLaren team knew she was going to be there, and of course, they had to make a big deal out of it. A few meters ahead of the security gate, she spotted Lando waiting with five other people from McLaren, cameras ready, grinning ear to ear.
"Finally!" he shouted, arms open as if he hadn't spent the last two months badgering her to come. "I told you, Monza is a race you can't miss." Y/n laughed, hugging him quickly, "You said that about the last three races," she said. "And yet you choose Monza, so I guess I was right after all," he said smugly before looping his arm around her shoulder and leading her towards the McLaren garage.
"How does it feel to be back?" Lando asked. How does it feel to be back in a place where youāve spent almost all your days living and breathing the sport for a man who didn't think twice before dumping you?
"Feels...different, I guess," Y/n said, smiling at him. She didn't understand why it still hurt. It's been over 4 years now, since they ended their relationship, well, since he ended their relationship. But as she moved deeper into the paddock, her heart felt heavier. The cameras, mechanics running around here and there, the reporters, it's crazy to think she was used to all this noise.
Turning the corner, she finally spotted him. The one person whom she used to call her home amongst the chaos.
Max Verstappen, four-time world champion, the face of Red Bull, and the man who once told her after a really bad race that she is the only piece of hope he has from this place.
It was as if the universe wanted her to feel more miserable, because not a second later, after she saw him, he locked eyes with her. Maybe Y/n imagined it, but she could swear she saw a look of surprise pass Max's face. Smiling at the two, he made his way towards them. Greeting Lando first, Max then looked at Y/n and gave her a side hug.
"Hey, I had no idea you'd be here," he said, smiling. Y/n felt bitter. How could he be so nonchalant about seeing her again, knowing that the last time he saw her, he broke her heart in a million pieces? "Ya, someone here wouldn't stop calling me," she said, gesturing at Lando. "Ya, well, I missed having you here, can you blame me?" Lando said playfully, nudging her.
While all of this was going on, McLaren cameramen had been rolling the entire time, not missing a single thing. As if things couldn't get worse, she finally saw her make her way towards the three.
Kelly Piquet, the perfect daughter of Nelson Piquet. Thinking about her made Y/n nauseous. Sensing her arrival, Max draped his arm around her waist and continued talking to Lando. She wanted to ask him why he dumped her. Why was she not good enough for him? What is it that Kelly has that she didn't? But she did not want to give him the satisfaction of knowing how, even after all this time, he still affects her.
After 10 more awful minutes, Max and Lando finally finished their conversation. As the four parted ways, Kelly pulled Y/n in for a hug, saying, "We should have lunch sometime." Smiling, Y/n nodded because that's the only thing she could do. She was afraid that if she opened her mouth to say something, her tongue would betray her.
It wasn't until she reached the McLaren motorhome that she finally let out a sigh of relief. She had almost forgotten about the interaction, too engrossed in the race. It's a shame that Lando didn't win; he has improved so much. Y/n couldn't help but feel proud of him. Making her way to the podium area along with the rest of the McLaren, she remembered the times she would see Max on the podium. She could still remember their last night. Max had told her it was something "he had to do" for his career. He told her things were getting complicated, that people were starting to talk, that the world was watching him now. When she asked him if this had anything to do with Kelly, he didn't even deny it.
"She understands this world," he had said. "And it'sā¦easier." And just like that, she was left behind, because he wanted a life that was 'easier.' Shaking her head, Y/n focused on Lando, smiling ear to ear as he made his way to the podium. They cheered the loudest for him. Looking down, Lando sent a shy lil wave towards her. Rolling her eyes, she smiled back at him. Then he came out. Looking to her side, she saw a sea of blue and red jumping up and down. Smiling, Max sent a kiss towards Kelly.
Watching him stand in the glow of the camera, soaking up the crowd's attention, she realised maybe it was for the best after all. He had built his empire, just like he said he would. Not caring about the people along the way, not giving a second thought to the people who picked him up on the days when the noise got too loud. So maybe it was for the best.
Y/n made her way back to the garage when her phone buzzed with a text from Lando.
Lando: So, idk if you saw or not, but I was on the podium
Y/n: Oh, were you really? Huh, I guess I must have missed the sea of orange chanting 'Lando' 'Lando'
Lando: First of all, It's Papaya. Second of all, you're lucky I'm in a good mood; I'm willing to forgive you if you agree to have dinner with me.
Lando: And just so we're clear, no's not an option :)
Y/n: Well, when you put it like that, how can I decline
Lando: Good choice, m'lady! I'll pick you up at 8
She smiled faintly as she slipped the phone into her pocket. It was time to let this chapter go. Max Verstappen would always be a ghost from her past. But whatever they'd been, it no longer had a place in her life.
...
Lando Norris
I see the parties and the diamonds sometimes when I close my eyes
Six months of torture you sold as some forbidden paradise
I loved you truly
You gotta laugh at the stupidity
"Welcome back, everyone! We are here with none other than the lovely Y/n L/n."
The crowd cheered as the camera rolled again after the commercial break. "So, Y/n, we were talking about all the new projects you're working on and how life's been lately. I wanna know, after all the whirlwind of fame, events, and, you know, the more glamorous side of your world, how do you unwind? It can't all be champagne and red carpets, right?" the host asked, holding a look of genuine curiosity in his eyes.
Y/n smiled, taking a moment to think, "Well, lately I've been loving the quiet life. If I'm being completely honest, I never realised how important it is to unwind. Just sit back and do absolutely nothing," Y/n laughed as the host agreed with her, giving his own take.
For a moment, Y/n's mind drifted to her past self, how Y/n from a month ago would've never given this answer. She would've laughed at today's Y/n, called her crazy for wanting to become a grandma. And in that quiet moment, the memories of Lando crept in. The parties, the flashing lights, the constant blur of champagne and chaos.
Six months she did this for six months straight. Thinking about it now sends a chill down her spine. She still can't wrap her mind around the fact that all this chaos was once normal for her. What people believed was a glimpse into her and Lando's world was just torture masked as paradise.
The interview went on, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Lando. On her way home, she thought about the time Lando entered her life. It was at an afterparty for some movie premiere that the two had been invited to. The way he talked to her, carried himself, it was all mesmerizing. That's how she fell for him, for his zest to experience life to the fullest, and that stupid smile that made her heart race. She found herself smiling at the memory. Even though the two ended things, even though his lifestyle almost destroyed hers, she still had a special place for him in her heart. Away from all the neon lights and fancy cocktails was a boy who wanted nothing more than to prove his worth. It wasn't all bitter, which is why even if she hates Lando, she can't hate Lando.
Y/n looked outside the window as her cab neared her apartment. It was pretty late now, almost 2 a.m. The city lights were blurring into streaks of orange and white. She sank into the seat, closing her eyes for a moment, as the memories from her past came flashing back. Lando had always been electric. He had this way of drawing people in without even trying, like he had his own personal gravitational pull. For six months, she had spent nights dancing under flashing neon lights. Every day had been a blur. The parties, red carpets, spontaneous trips, they had lived in a haze of glitter and noise for so long that everything that wasn't this felt numbing.
She opened her eyes when she felt her phone buzz. It was a notification from Instagram. Lando had just posted a story. Sitting up straight, she clicked on the notification. It was a video of him partying, the same chaos, the same energy, the same Lando she had loved once. She watched as he kept laughing at something the girl in his arms whispered. This is what boiled her blood the most, not the fact that he pulled her into his chaotic life, not that she completely lost herself for six whole months, not the fact that she almost died from this unhealthy lifestyle. It was the fact that, while Y/n still hasn't moved on from him, it had taken Lando only two weeks to be seen with someone new.
Setting her phone down, she cursed herself for being so stupid. It's truly laughable how she thought he loved her, too. How she changed everything for a man who couldn't even wait for a month. It took him 14 days to find someone new. Was she that easy to replace?
The cab finally came to a stop. Y/n stepped out of the car, feeling the cold air hit her skin. Making her way towards her apartment, Y/n thought about what Lando had promised to be paradise, just ended up being a game for him. And she was just another shiny new toy added to the playground he called life.
Making her way towards the balcony, Y/n stared at the city lights. She could almost hear the music, feel the rhythm of those nights, but this time it didn't look appealing. Lando can have his chaos, his parties, his diamonds. All she needed was herself, and that was more than enough.
...
Charles Leclerc
'Cause I've made some real big mistakes
But you make the worst one look fine
I should've known it was strange
You only come out at night
Y/n loved her job and the perks that came with it. Being a sports journalist was something she had always dreamt of, being able to cover Formula One, getting to go to different races, and talk to different drivers; it was everything she had ever wanted. But right now, at this very moment, she hated her job more than anything in the world.
Ferrari's golden boy, Charles Leclerc, has officially confirmed he's in a relationship with Alexandra Saint Mleux. The entire F1 world was losing its mind over this news; every reporter was dying to get an exclusive with him to find out more about the couple, and yet the one person who did not want anything to do with this was the person Charles was ready to give an exclusive to.
The Prince of Monaco, as fans called him, had been reaching out to Y/n for the last two weeks, and when nothing worked, he called her manager and proposed the idea of an exclusive with her. She had no choice but to talk to him.
The news of the two dating felt like a slap to Y/n. She should have known, she should've trusted her gut when the rumours first emerged, but how could she have done anything when he held her like his entire world would collapse if he let go. How could she not believe him when he looked at her with those blue eyes and that dimpled smile, calling her mon cherie as he caressed her cheek.
The interview was set for 11 a.m. at Ferrari's hospitality suite. As she made her way inside, she could feel her heart pumping in her ears. Before any interview, the interviewer greets the interviewee. This meant that she had to stop by his driver's room before reaching the interview area.
Y/n took a deep breath before knocking on the door. A muffled "come in" echoed from inside, and for a moment, she wished she could just walk away, pretend the he never called her manager, pretend she hadn't already seen the photos of them together. But her hand was already turning the knob.
Charles was sitting on the couch, scrolling through his phone, his hair slightly tousled like he'd run a hand through it too many times. He looked up as soon as she entered, and for a second, his eyes softened. She hated that she felt a familiar flicker of warmth inside her. He didn't have the right to look at her like that anymore.
"Y/n," he said, standing up, that same goddamn smile tugging at his mouth. "You lookā" "Charles just don't," her voice was sharp, "Let's just get this over with." Nodding, Charles escorted her to where the interview was supposed to be. After a few minutes of silence, Charles finally said, "I wanted to thank you for agreeing to meet with me." Scoffing, Y/n said, "I didn't agree to shit, Charles. You called my boss and told him you'd only give an exclusive if I was the one interviewing; that's blackmail." His jaw tensed, "You weren't answering my calls," he said. "Well, ya, why should I? It's not like I'm your girlfriend or anything," she challenged.
He took a deep breath before saying, "It wasn't like that, okay? Things have been complicated." As they entered the interview area, Y/n forced a tight smile and muttered, "Complicated? That's an interesting word for lying to someone for months."
Y/n took her seat. This was just another interview; she could easily do this. The camera crew adjusted the lighting, Ferrari's PR lead counted them in, and as the red light blinked on, she switched on her professional mask.
"Welcome, Charles," she said, her voice perfectly neutral. "Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today." He smiled and nodded, that familiar dimple appearing for a brief second.
"Let's start with something simple. How has the off-season been treating you? I imagine it must feel nice to finally slow down after such a long year," Y/n asked. "It's been good. A lot of training, of course, but also I finally have time to rest. Spend my days with loved ones," Charles said.
Of course, he'd spend his days with loved ones because for the past few months, his nights had been at her place. Concealing her inner thoughts, Y/n smiled at his answer.
"Now let's get to the question everyone has been dying to know. You recently confirmed your relationship with Alexandra Saint Mleux. Congratulations!" Charles suddenly felt uncomfortable sitting in front of her. "Thank you," he said after a beat. "Yes, Alex and I have been together for a while now," he continued. Y/n tilted her head slightly, unable to hide her surprise, "Oh, a while? That's interesting. Because, from what I recall, the first time the two of you were spotted together was about a month ago?"
There was the faintest crack in his voice. "We met long before that," he said quietly. "Things just became public recently," he said, scratching the back of his neck. āRight,ā Y/n said, "Who would've known Charles Leclerc is so sneaky in private?" There was suddenly tension in the air. The PR team glanced between the two but did not intervene. Charles laughed awkwardly, trying to lighten the mood. āI like to think Iām just private."
Y/n nodded before saying, "Okay, I just have one last question. What was it about Alexandra that drew you in?" Charles hesitated for a few seconds, "Alex keeps me grounded. Whenever I'm with her, I'm just Charles, and not Formula One driver Charles Leclerc," He said.
Charles knew after this answer that the interview was over. There was no way Y/n was going to stay here any longer. "That's lovely,: she said, closing her notebook. "Well, it was nice to talk to you, Charles. I wish you the very best." Giving her a strained smile, Charles muttered a small, "Thank you, Y/n."
"That was great, Charles. Y/n, thank you once again for the interview," the PR rep said as the crew began packing up. Y/n quickly collected her things, making her way out, not wanting to see Charles any longer.
"Y/n, wait." She froze. "Please," he pleaded. "I didn't want it to happen like this," he said. Turning around, Y/n felt enraged, "Ya, well if you didn't want it to be like this, you shouldn't have whored around while you were already seeing someone," she said.
"I know I hurt you," he said, his voice low. "But it wasn't fake, us. You have to know that," he finished. "What do I do with this information Charles? You chose her. You're dating her. Whether it was real between us or not, it doesn't matter," Y/n said, her voice slightly shaky as she finally let out what she had been feeling.
"Do you know how many days I've wondered why you'd always disappear as soon as the sun was up? Why would you never behave the way you do behind the doors, in public? Now I know!" She snapped. Charles looked down, guilt flickering across his face. "I've made quite a few mistakes in life, Charles," Y/n said quietly. "But somehow you make the worst ones look fine now."
"Good luck this season, Leclerc," she said before walking out of his life forever.
...
Alex Albon
I used to think I was smart
But you made me look so naive
Alex's mom always used to say, 'No one gets Alex the way Y/n does, and no one gets Y/n like Alex does.' She couldn't have been more right. The two had been inseparable ever since birth. They had seen it all: middle school playground fights, scraped knees from daring each other to ride the skateboard, and getting scolded for sneaking into the kitchen late at night to steal ice cream. They had been through it all. All the awkward phases, difficult times, shared dreams, and heartbreaks had formed an unbreakable bond. She loved Alex Albon, the Formula One driver, but she also loved Alex Albon, the boy who cried to her when he won his first race ever.
Being with Alex was like breathing for her. It wasn't something she had learned; it's just something that came naturally to her. And everyone could see it. The two were always joined at the hip. The way they'd prank George, the way there are multiple photos of them falling asleep together at random corners of the paddock. The way the two never failed to mention one another, no matter where they were. It was common knowledge now, wherever Alex Albon was, Y/n L/n would also be there and vice versa.
But Y/n's heart had always known there was something more. She'd find herself staring a little too long, laughing a little too freely at his jokes, letting his hugs linger just a second longer than they should. Every time Alex smiled at her, she convinced herself it meant something, that there was more to them than just friendship. If everyone could see it, it was only a matter of time before Alex would too, right?
It was like any other day, Y/n made her way into Williams' garage, where she found an eager Alex waiting for her, a mischievous grin on his face. Seeing him so giddy, her chest tightened instantly as she felt a familiar pull sheād always felt around him. "Y/n!! Guess what?" he said as his grin widened. "What?" Y/n asked, eager to know what had made Alex so happy.
"I finally asked Lily out! I was so nervous to ask her. I mean, we had been on a few dates, but still, you know what I mean? Like I was shitting bricks, cause how could someone like her actually like me back. I can't tell you how relieved I am," He said, eyes sparkling the entire time he talked about her. Y/n felt like her heart was on fire, consuming every ounce of her, leaving her bare and open.
Alex's grin faltered slightly when he noticed the subtle shift in Y/n's expression. "You're not mad, are you? I swear I was going to tell you after our first date, but then I thought if everything went well, I'll directly share the good news," he said.
Y/n blinked rapidly, trying to hide the sting in her eyes. "Oh no no, I'm not mad, silly. That's great, Alex! I'm so happy for you," she said as she pulled him in for a hug. She couldn't let him see the tear that slipped. Alex laughed, "I knew youād be happy for me,ā he said, rubbing her back. Y/n nodded, her fingers tightening around him, "Of course, I mean, Lily, sheās great," Y/n muttered.
She wanted to hate Lily, scream at her for coming between the two of them, and hit Alex for being so blind and not seeing what the two of them had, but she couldn't. She couldnāt hate either of them.
Alex grinned as he pulled away, "I'm telling you, Y/n, this is the start of something really good. She's incredible. You'll see. She's just got this spark. You know?" he said. Y/n forced herself to nod. She couldn't let Alex know the storm he had just unleashed inside her. It was as if god took pity on her, that before Alex could continue, he got called in. Looking back at her, he said, "Duty calls," gesturing to James' cabin. She nodded at him and watched as he went further inside the garage.
Without wasting a second, Y/n made her way towards Alex's driver's room, locking the door the moment she entered. It was there that she finally let go. Before she knew it, one tear became two, and soon enough, her body was shaking as she released every emotion she had been holding in.
Within a few weeks, what used to be Alex and Y/n became Alex and Lily. Everyone was excited about the new couple; Lily was like a shiny trophy everyone wanted to see, while Y/n was left behind, collecting dust on the sidelines. Y/n had learned to wipe her tears away, but the lump in her throat wouldn't go away. She needed air, needed to breathe without the weight of Alex's happiness crushing her chest all the damn time.
It was later that week, when she was sitting in the hotel garden one evening, that she spotted George making his way towards her. Without a word, he took a seat next to her. Bumping his shoulder against her, he let out a soft, "Hey, you." Smiling softly at him, "Hey George, what are you doing here? I thought you would've left by now," she said, genuinely surprised to see him still here after the race. "I was gonna go today, but Alex told me you're staying back, so I was like, why not?" he said, shrugging his shoulders.
"What made you stay back?" George asked, giving her a small, knowing smile, as if he could read the storm behind her calm demeanor. He didn't comment on the subtle redness around her eyes or the way her fingers fidgeted with the edge of her sleeve. He just sat there, steady, letting her process in her own time.
Y/n let out a shaky sigh, finally allowing herself to lean back on the chair. "George, I just" She paused, swallowing hard, trying to find the words. "I thought I understood him. I thought I knew Alex. That I could see what he wanted, what he felt, and I was so sure, you know?" He nodded softly. "I just, I always used to think I was smart, but all of thisāAlex, he's made me look so naive, I justā" George reached out and brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Hey," he said softly, "being naive isn't a crime. Loving someone, hoping for something, it just makes you more human, Y/n."
Y/n closed her eyes, leaning slightly into his touch. She said, "I just⦠I can't hate him. And I can't hate Lily either. I want to. I want to scream at both of them for this, but I can't. And it hurts so much.ā
"Then let it hurt. Feel it. But don't let it define you. You're stronger than you think. And I'll be here, every step, I promise," he said, raising his pinky like they did when they were kids. Laughing, Y/n interlocked her pinky with his. She said, "You're always so damn patient with me."
"Well, someone's got to be," George replied, in a teasing tone. "Thanks, George," Y/n whispered. He gave her a small smile, "Anytime, Y/n/n."
For a moment, neither of them spoke, just letting the quiet settle around them. Y/n realized she didnāt have to have all the answers right now, about Alex, about Lily, about herself, and that was all right.

Carlos Sainz
And every girl I ever talked to told me you were bad, bad news
You called them crazy, god, I hate the way I called them crazy too
You're so convincin', how do you lie without flinchin'?
Y/n remembered the time when the EglÄ had approached her at a party.
It was at one of the parties at Renault. Y/n and Carlos had just started seeing each other. They hadn't made anything official yet, but wanted to be a part of each other's lives. She had gone to get herself another drink when EglÄ approached her. "Y/n right?" She asked. "Yes! You must be EglÄ. Nico talks about you a lot," she said, smiling at her. "All good things, I hope," EglÄ laughed. "Yes, great things in fact. I've wanted to meet you for so long. It's so nice to finally do that," Y/n said. "I've wanted to meet you for a while, too, Y/n," EglÄ said with a slight tone of seriousness. "Is everything okay?" Y/n asked. "Yes, I'm sorry if I'm being too blunt, but I wanted to tell you just be careful with Carlos, okay. You're a nice girl, I don't want you to end up getting hurt," she said. Y/n felt weird. Why was she warning her to be careful with him? He's never done anything that would make her doubt him. "I appreciate your concern, EglÄ, but really, I'm good. Thank you, though," she said, ready to leave. "Just look out, okay. He's bad news," she said before leaving her alone at the bar. That was the last time she had seen EglÄ. After that, she made it a point to avoid her.
Or the time Charlotte had called her for lunch.
It had been a beautiful day in Monaco. The weather was pleasant, the food was good, and the two were having the time of their life. It was towards the end of lunch that Charlotte's expression became more serious. "Char, is everything okay? You look tense," Y/n asked. "I mean it in the most sincere way possible, Y/n/n, when I say this. Be careful with Carlos Sainz. I know you've been seeing each other for a while now, but please just keep your guard up, okay? I don't want you to go down that road, it's not worth it," she said. Y/n was taken aback. This was completely out of the blue; she didn't understand where Charlotte was coming from. "What?" she asked. "Why are you saying that?" "He's just bad news, Y/n," Charlotte said, her eyes serious. "I want the best for you. Please, just⦠be careful." Y/n forced a smile, shrugging off the unease that she felt.
She wanted to ask what Charlotte meant, press her for details, but something in Charlotte's eyes made her stop. It wasn't malice, it was a pity, and that made Y/n's stomach twist in ways she didn't want to acknowledge.
A few days later, she told Carlos about her conversation with Charlotte, even bringing up her exchange with EglÄ from all these years ago, but all Carlos did was laugh.
"People love to talk, cariƱo," he said, leaning back on the couch, eyes glistening with what she then thought was honesty. "Charlotte is just being nosy. You know how she has been. She thinks just because I'm good with people, I'm a playboy, and that it's her duty to get into our business. And EglÄ? You know she's always been jealous. She clearly wanted to shoot her shots; that's why she slipped all that shit to you. Hoping she'd scare you away from me."
Y/n frowned slightly, but before she could respond, he took her hand, tracing lazy circles on her palm. "Don't listen to them, amor. They're all crazy," he said softly, his tone sweet, almost coaxing in a way. "They don't know what we have. They see me smile at someone and think I'm flirting. They don't get it. They don't get us." Y/n nodded, letting the tension in her chest ease. "You're right, who are they to get between us?" she said as she cuddled up to him on the couch, letting go of all the doubts.
Y/n had been thinking about that night a lot lately. How she ignored every warning from friends, and now, looking at the headlines, she felt like a fool. Sitting on the edge of her bed, her phone buzzed. Another message from a mutual friend saying 'they're sorry.' By now, everyone knew. Everyone had seen photos and videos of Carlos kissing and laughing with a girl named Rebecca Donaldson.
Y/n sank back onto the bed. She couldn't stop reading the articles, each one worse than the last. According to these news outlets, there were others before her. Her hands shook as she recalled every word he had said, every promise he had made. He made her feel like she was the only girl in the world, while he did all of this behind her back. Her stomach twisted with anger and humiliation. She had defended him, justified him to friends, laughed off the warning signs, only for him to keep on lying to her for years.
Her phone buzzed.
Carlos: Y/n, amor, please just hear me out.
Carlos: I need you to listen to me
Carlos: Pls, it's not like this. Just let me explain!
Y/n: Explain what, Carlos? That it didn't mean anything? That it just happened? That I'm supposed to believe you again?
Carlos: Y/n, I swear to you, I never wanted to hurt you. Rebecca, it was a mistake, and the rest, I swear, it's all lies. You know how the media is. You know me.
Y/n blinked, her jaw tightening. She did know him; she knew the way he looked her in the eyes and made her believe every word, she knew the ease in his voice when he said 'trust me,' and now, she knew what it felt like to realize none of it had ever been real for him.
Y/n: I thought I did, Carlos.
Y/n: Please don't text me again.
Y/n saw three bubbles appear, then nothing. Just silence.
...
Oscar Piastri
Ooh, what a mesmerizin', paralyzin', fucked-up little thrill
Can't figure out just how you do it, and God knows I never will
Y/n was standing on the balcony, wanting some fresh air after all the chaos inside. The party was almost over now, and many people had already started making their way towards the door. As she leaned further on the railing, a hand wrapped around her neck, and her body was met with sudden force. "Y/n/n there you areee," slurred a very drunk Lily. Y/n laughed at her best friend's antics. "On a scale of 1-10, how drunk are you, Lils?" she asked the birthday girl. "No, I don't have a scale," she replied, smiling at her. "Yeah, you're wasted my love. You're gonna love the headache that's coming in the morning," she said while helping her stand a bit better. "I just, I'm so glad you're there in my life, Y/n," Lily said, smiling. "I've never told this to you, but two things I'm most grateful for are you and Oscar, constantly being there for me ever since we were dumb teenagers." Y/n suddenly felt disgusted. Every inch of her skin burned with shame. "Me too, Lils, me too. Now let's get you inside, yeah?" she said, leading the girl to her bedroom. After making sure to remove her makeup and put her in comfy clothes, she tucked Lily in and made her way out of the room.
By now, everyone had left. As Y/n walked into the guest bedroom, she felt someone push her gently against the wall. Before she could react, she was met with a soft pair of lips. Her body froze for a split second, then, almost instinctively, she kissed back. Pulling back, she let out a gasp. "I've been wanting to do that all evening," muttered Oscar before he leaned in again. Y/n could feel the warmth of his breath, the familiarity of his touch, the way his hands framed her face, and despite knowing that it was wrong, she let herself melt into it.
Y/n knew she shouldn't do this. Lily was her best friend, the girl Oscar had been dating ever since they were in high school, the girl who was sleeping one door down, but she couldn't stop. Her body betrayed her, leaning in closer to Oscar, letting him pull her into the small space between the wall and the bed. "We can't keep doing this," she whispered, pressing a hand against his chest, hoping it would slow him down. "I know," he murmured, before leaning in and capturing her lips again.
It was maddening, infuriating, intoxicating even. He was her best friend's boyfriend, and yet here he was, claiming her, stealing moments she knew they'd never be able to talk about. Yet somehow, even knowing the wrongness of it all, it thrilled her more than anything ever had. Slowly, Oscar guided them toward the bed. The world outside no longer existed for them. In here, it was just them, bodies pressing together, with a dangerous desire that neither of them could resist.
The darkness had fully settled by now. Y/n looked at the clock on the bedside table. 4:07 am. The room was quiet except for the soft rhythm of Oscar's breathing. She turned to her side to admire him. The small freckles that littered his body, the way his hair was standing at three different angles. She lazily traced patterns on his arm. It was almost time for him to sneak back to his room. But she couldn't move, not yet at least.
Y/n thought to herself, How had it come to this? She thought back to the beginning, when the three met during their schooling years. She still remembers the first time she saw Oscar. The quite little Aussie boy had stolen her heart at first glance. His boyish grin held a warmth that made her stomach flip, and the way in which he carried himself so effortlessly made it impossible not to notice him.
She remembered the long afternoons they had spent laughing together, the countless inside jokes shared while Lily was oblivious, and the subtle glances that lingered a little too long. She remembered the way he made her feel seen, like she wasn't just a part of the background, like she mattered more than anyone else ever could. And yet, that warmth always came with a shadow. Because in the real world, he belonged to someone else, he belonged to the one person who had trusted her the most.
Her fingers tightened slightly around his arm. She remembered how it had started innocently, offering to drop her off after a hangout. Picking her up from the airport when Lily was busy. Spending the weekend together because Lily was away for a conference, and neither of them wanted to spend the weekend alone. It was all harmless at first. Movies, takeout, endless conversations that stretched until dawn. Until one night, the silence between them had shifted. She remembers that day very well; it was back when Oscar was in F3. During their summer break, the three had decided to go on a vacation, but at the last minute, Lily had to stay back an extra week for a presentation. She had urged the two to go, that she would join them after she was done.
It was supposed to be nothing more than a few lazy days by the beach. Just her and Oscar, waiting for Lily to join them. They'd spent their mornings in the ocean, their afternoons lounging under the sun, and their evenings talking about everything and nothing at all. It felt easy. For a moment, Y/n felt like she was in school again. Like that silly little schoolgirl who never acted on her feelings because she knew her best friend liked him too. It was the last night before Lily would join them. They were sitting on the balcony of the little villa they had rented. He was talking about racing, about how terrified he was of not being enough. Y/n smiled softly, telling him that he was brilliant, that he'd always be enough. "I don't know what I'd do without you," Oscar had said, voice barely above a whisper. She had smiled, wanting to believe he meant it platonically, but the way his hand found hers told her otherwise. The silence that followed wasn't awkward, and before she could stop herself, she leaned in.
The kiss had been hesitant, at first. The two were uncertain. If they continued, they were gonna cross a line that never should've been crossed. But the moment his lips parted against hers, all that hesitation disappeared. It felt like everything she had been holding back for years was finally spilling out, uncontained and unstoppable. When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathing hard. "This can't happen again," Y/n had said. Oscar nodded, "I know." But it did happen again and again. To the point that this secret became a part of their reality.
Now, lying beside him in the stillness of the night, Y/n wondered if this was how it was going to be for the rest of her life. She wondered how love could be such a cruel thing. How you could love someone with your whole heart and still not have them, how you could hold so much love for someone and still end up betraying them.
...
George Russell
You said it was true love, but wouldn't that be hard?
You can't love anyone, 'cause that would mean you had a heart
When they started dating, everything was so simple. George Russell was just a new name in the world of F1, driven by the desire to prove himself to everyone who questioned him. That was what drew Y/n towards the Brit boy. It was all a secret at the beginning. Stolen glances, secret hangouts, they couldn't risk Max finding out about the two. Y/n knew her dad was easy to deal with; it was her brother that she was the most worried about. The day they told Max about their relationship, she was sure he was gonna run George off track during the race.
What surprised them the most was how well Max took the news. For a while, it was perfect. Her worlds collided in the best way possible. Race weekends filled with warmth, laughter, and quiet pride whenever she saw her brother and boyfriend on the podium together.
But somewhere between 2020 and 2025, things changed.
George had made it to Mercedes, and with success came pressure. It started out subtle at first; a tense word here, a snide remark there, nothing that serious. But by 2024, the rivalry between Max and George had turned into full-blown beef. Every race weekend carried an unspoken tension in the air. George's focus shifted entirely to winning, to proving himself, and every glance at Max felt like the silence before a storm. Y/n quickly realized she had become a silent spectator to a battle that wasn't hers. She became a bridge between two worlds that were constantly at war. Plans that once were effortless now took careful, calculated decisions. Dinners canceled, vacations postponed. Every moment that should've been theirs was now overshadowed by George's hatred of her brother.
By the start of the 2025 season, the weight of it all became unbearable. George was distant, distracted, and increasingly irritable. Y/n tried to reason with him, to remind him that the tension was with Max, not with her, but the truth was harder to ignore. Arguments crept into their relationship like cracks in glass, subtle at first but increasing over time. George would snap over minor things. She tried to understand, but she could feel their love slipping through the cracks. The warmth they once shared was growing colder with every tense weekend, all because she was Max Verstappen's sister.
One evening, after yet another weekend filled with tension and unresolved arguments, George finally broke the silence. His voice was quiet, almost detached. "I can't do this anymore, Y/n. I can't handle the constant pressure, the friction, Max....us." Y/n felt the ground shift beneath her. There were no tears, no pleading; just the weight of his voice, enough for her to understand. He wasn't asking or suggesting a breakup; he was informing her he was done.
Y/n thought about all the little moments they had shared, the promises whispered in private, the soft "I love yous" that had once made her day, now served as a cold reminder that the man she loved with her whole heart chose to let her go.
Y/n let out a bitter laugh, "Right. I should've seen this coming," she said, forcing herself to meet his eyes. "It makes sense now. How could you love me, love anyone, for that matter? You need to have a heart to love someone, and you, George Russell, clearly don't have one," Y/n said, tears falling from her eyes by now.
"Maybe if you put half the effort into your career that you put into Max, you'd be much higher in the rankings and actually stand a chance against him," Y/n said while gathering her things from his driver's room. "You and your brother, you're both so arrogant. And for what?" George asked. Ignoring him, she made her way out. Just as she was about to leave, she heard George scoff before muttering, "Clearly the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Y/n paused at the door, her hand on the handle, and let out a shaky laugh. "Yeah, maybe it doesn't," she said, her voice sharp. "Maybe that's why my brother is a four-time world champion, and you can't even win a race without everyone else crashing in front of you." With that, Y/n turned and left the Mercedes garage. She was done being treated like an inconvenience just because George couldnāt handle his battle with Max.

Lewis Hamilton
I tried you help you out, now I know that I can't
'Cause how you think's the kind of thing I'll never understand
Ever since 2021, something inside Lewis had changed. He had this drive in him, this madness to win his 8th title. That was one of the reasons why Y/n fell for him. He never gave up and constantly strived to achieve more. Every early morning training, every late night strategy meeting, he had been consistent every single time. And so had Y/n. The two started dating at the end of 2022 and had been through a lot together. She was supportive of his lifestyle, his passion, but there was only a limit to which she could support him.
Lately, it felt like that limit had been reached. Weekends that used to feel like theirs were now swallowed by strategy sessions, media obligations, and endless debriefs. Every time she tried to talk about the future, traveling together, slowing down just a little, and even marriage, Lewis would completely close himself off.
It was late one night when the two were going at it yet again. "You don't see it, Lewis," Y/n said, her voice filled with frustration. "There's a world outside the track. I want us to grow together, and not just chase the next podium." He didn't look up. His eyes were fixed on the monitor in front of him, running simulations. "I get that, Y/n, I do. But you're not understanding me. The position I'm in right now. I have to prove to the world the switch to Ferrari was worth it. I can't just leave this and think about settling down," He said, dismissing her.
Y/n's chest tightened, a mix of hurt and disbelief clawing at her. "Lewis, I'm not asking you to give up racing. I justā I want to experience life with you. I don't want every living, breathing moment we spend together to be around racecars. Lewis finally looked up, his eyes tired, conflicted. "Y/n, I just can't. Not in the way you want me to. My mind, my life, it's always on the next race, the next strategy, the next chance to prove I made the right choice," he said.
"So, that's it? We just keep existing in separate worlds?" Y/n asked, voice shaky. He shook his head slowly before saying, "I love you, I do. But I can't promise anything concrete right now. I'm still figuring out how to balance everything and how to make this work for us. I don't want to give you a timeline I can't keep."
Y/n nodded slowly, swallowing the knot in her throat as she watched him return to the monitor. She let out a quiet sigh, feeling the weight of their separate worlds pressing down, and for the first time in a while, she realized that sometimes, love just wasnāt enough.
So much has happened š®āšØ Okay to start with, I quit my job, I found a few job, left all my friends and family to move to a completely new city, went house hunting, found a decent apartment, started living on my own (with a few flatmates), made new friends (so far so goodš¤š»), and drank (A LOT š)
So ya thatās whatās been happening behind the scenes with me for the last 2 months. All this change had drained me creatively. I just could not find the passion to write anything that wasnāt work but itās getting much better now.
Iād say Iām almost settled. So yes, Iām not back yet but Iāll be there very soon. Hope to see yāall then š
ok ! maybe this is a silly goose question but despite having read all the uni series since the beginning i just realised/had this thought !
since we know max goes to the same uni, but his story takes place after the spring fling because lando and landos y/n are moving in together ,, did max not go to the dance? did he go but not participate in the matchmaking ? and what about maxās y/n ?
maybe thats a dumb question since it doesnt pertain to their plot but im so curious lmao š (also if it was a detail that was included somewhere in the story please forgive me for asking i have like 0 memory ever šš)
Nooo itās not a dumb question at all!! I loved that you asked this ā„ļøā„ļøā„ļø
Okay so in my head, Max did not go to the spring fling. I feel he just never bothered. I do feel tho that Landoās Y/n kept nagging Max to go but he just did not!
For Maxās Y/n, I believe she did go. Maybe with a friend or a random guy who asked her out (not cause she liked the guy or anything but maybe cause she just wanted to have that experience in college)
As for the spring fling thing with the form and emojis. I do believe that Max and Y/n wouldnāt have been each otherās ideal matches had they both filled the form (But since Max didnāt go, he never filled the form). Y/n did, however, fill the form, she got the emojis and even got a name at the end of the night, but in my head she just never bothered to follow up with whoever her match was.
Since the two arenāt an āideal pairā (based on their personalities) I think the way they did meet was what worked for them. Because had Max gone and filled the form, they never wouldāve crossed paths.
If yāall have more questions like this, about their background or yk things like that, do send!! It was so fun to answer this š
Guys I swear Iām working on the next part for Charlesā version!!! This time Iāll post it without a sneak peek. Work has really consumed me, but I promise itās almost done!!!
I saw that you posted which order to read your uni series, but I was wondering if they could just be read as standalones?? I really only read for 1 or 2 drivers. Thank you!!!
Yes so Oscarās and Maxās Version can be read as stand alone (although you might be just a tad bit confused about certain parts at the start of Maxās version, thatās all)
For Landoās version, you need to know the main plot of Oscarās. The spring fling is significant in his story, and he appears several times, so itās harder to understand without reading Oscarās version.
For Charlesā version, you can read it as is. The spring fling is mentioned in his version, and to understand why certain aspects are significant, you can read Oscarās version. Otherwise you wonāt understand why the 3 emojis are used or why theyāre important
