this has got to be THE funniest example of phallocentrism in science lmao
“This unique adaptation is thought to have been selected through female mate choice, and by the time Homo erectus arrived on the scene, the hominid penis was significantly longer, fatter and more bendy than our ape cousins'. It has even been theorised that bipedalism evolved in humans to allow the fashionably new, larger, flexible penis to be displayed to discerning females.3″
TW *sex & genital mentions*; Experiencing sexual encounters as an asexual coming into realization (& the male ignorance I encountered along the way).
Here are the CRINGEY things some dudes used to tell me to try to convince me they knew more about my body & sexuality than I did (thanks to PORN!):
Ok so this is why sex-ed is ESSENTIAL
●"if you don't have sex now and 'train' your vagina you'll lose the ability to feel and enjoy it in years to come"
●"why would a woman wanna have sex in somewhere she can't check up on (vagina) [instead of her anus/mouth?]" WHAT????
●"you don't know what's going on because you never been in there" (proceeds to explain to him using Google images how I use menstrual cups and most certainly HAVE been "in there")
●"if you let me eat your pussy and make you orgasm, you won't even feel it when I go in because you'll be so wet" (after teenage me explained to him I didn't want a man to painfully break my hymen)
●"did you come?" (After lazily putting a vibrator on my clit)
●"did you come?" (After he comes in 3 minutes of dry humping😂)
●"let me come on your stomach [so you can orgasm]. Women have a lot of sexual nerves there"
HUH????😭😭😭😂😂😂
●"let me just put just one inch in real quick not the whole thing I promise you'll enjoy it" (so one inch disqualifies it from being a penis in my vagina? How?)
●"I saw a movie where the girl's clit was in the back of her throat... yeah I guess that wasn't real lol" (after I explained that that wasn't real)
((Btw way, watch the documentary about Deep Throat on Netflix. I'm warning you tho it does show graphic clips from the actual porno))
●"I'm not in middle school" (after I said I only dry hump/outercourse cause not interested in sex) lol (why did he think I'd change my mind lmao even after I told him this)
●*roughly manhandles my labia and thinks it'll make me beg for the dingdong*
Falocentrismo | Phallocentrism
Feminism in Philosophy: Derrida and Phallogocentrism
On the high-end of feminist philosophy, they're talking about Derridian ideas, so I figured I'd offer you all some understanding of what's going on up there, from what I can gather. That way any of you feminists out there, if you run into these types, can argue or agree at the resolution of the philosophers among you.
Basically it centers around "phallogocentrism," which just means that language ("logos") has historically been wielded to establish a "phallocentrist" (masculine-focused) culture, and that it has been a slow, deliberate process for most--if not all--of human history. The context clues in the etymology will help you remember:
"Phallus-" = Dick "Logos-" = Language "Centric" = Point of Focus or Origin
"Phallogocentrism" = "A focus on dick language," or, a euphemism: "The privileging of the masculine in the construction of meaning." ----------------------------------- Some other words you might run into along the way: Aporetic/Aporia: Aporia is knowledge which is indeterminate as a result of being based on contradictory or irreconcilable sets of information. So, ideas that don't have solid answers because language is insufficient in attempting to puzzle out the details. Apodictic: Conversely, apodictic knowledge is knowledge based on determine or "indisputable" information. Sort of. It's information that, at the very least, is functional within an established and cohesive framework of knowledge. Example: Physics is a system of apodictic information which functions predictably within natural law as we observe it. Social Justice is a system of aporetic knowledge, as terms can be deconstructed and reconstituted with variable definition and is determined primarily by naturally relative moral dictum.
Male physicians used to believe that female reproductive organs were the inverse of the male and had to be kept in the body because they were more delicate and I don't know where to start with that shit
HE TALKS A GOOD DUMMY
HE TALKS A GOOD DUMMY "masculinity's apoplectic id" The New York Times he talks a good penis does your President one that women could not, should not, dare not resist full-some balled (or so we are led to believe) it arches towards the heavens like an intercontinental missile seeking final release how good it talks, presents itself, the thing that all voted for shining white in all its military-perpendicular silent eloquence and true ventriloquist (not a word from his lips that was not spoken by dick, routed via intestine to be mouthed by its dummy).
