The thing that really boils my potatoes about AI in general is that I have been a creative professional for over a decade now and the devil has ALWAYS been in the details. Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist.
But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this AI generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the AI Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building.
I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.

isn't it fucking weird how women need to make drastic decisions to ensure safety or general happiness when confronted by a hurt and vengeful man? i continue to see and hear stories about women needing to quit their jobs because a male coworker fell in love and couldn't accept her rejections. i see women talking about needing to move apartments because of a male neighbor has decided to stalk her just by memorizing her routine. i hear women losing entire social circles because of a man, whether or not he's dated her, realized that he can never have her and ruins her reputation so that no one wants to come near her, and so has to quite literally pack and go to a far away place to start all over again. why do women have to make these painful and sometimes even expensive decisions all because men can't accept us saying NO?

True feminism is acknowledging that you have been influenced by the patriarchy and then fighting against it. I don’t know where we went wrong but feminism is NOT playing the victim and claiming that you’re completely helpless to societal pressure. If you want to fight for women and for yourself, go makeup free. Volunteer at women’s shelters. Boycott corporations that make money off of women’s insecurities. You can make the choice to participate in stupid sexist beauty rituals, but don’t try and water down our movement by calling yourself a feminist.

The news I watched interviewed one woman saying almost all the survivors of these massacres are women and girls and on its head that may look something like "men and boys have it worse" because they get insta death but we all know why war criminals actually "spare" females. I can't imagine the torture inflicted to the point that these women and girls are killing themselves to prevent being kept around as potential rape spoils.
The Sudanese crisis has displaced and killed at least double the amount of people in Gaza in 2 years but it doesn't directly involve a colonizer like Isreal so these poor survivors are being forgotten.
