It's 11:24 pm here and I just had to attempt to recreate a Phanek

It doesn't exactly look like a Phanek :( i tried

A Phanek is a traditional open skirt like cloth that a lady wraps around her waist, often either rolled up to keep in place or using an extra cloth to make sure it doesn't slip

I don't wear it too often even though it's quite comfortable, so I wanted to try and make my IRL OC wear one :)

A Phanek is often what ladies wear to festivals, ceremonies, parties etc but girls under the age of 18 aren't required to wear it

Contemporary Manipuri fashions that combine traditional and modern elements. 

Phanek is a Meitei costume that has a tight fitting blouse and a sarong like skirt, traditionally with stripes and a border with lotus and bee design.  The dress requires the tying of three knots at three places on the waist (Trikasta). A thin cotton shawl (inaphi) is often included, contemporary versions sometimes derive from decorative dupattas. Also often included is the sandalwood paste design on the forehead. 

And a brief note on flowers for decoration. Pic 2 seems to be the takhellei nachom.

Other terms: The kumil is the ras dance costume (for a modern take see X). The phanek mapanaiba refers to heavily embroidered versions. The kajenglei or leitreng is the crown like head dress.
