hi everyone! so i hit 100 followers quite recently, and while that may not seem like much to you, it means an awful lot to me. so to celebrate, i’ve decided to make a follow forever (which i’ve wanted to do for ages haha) so here we go!
I’m going to start off my thanking my good friend lucy-xxxoooxxx who is super important to me and manages to make me smile everyday without fail. You deserved a special mention, and I hope you understand that you mean a lot to me.
Now that my special, special mention is out of the way, I’m going to move on to people who still mean a lot to me on here and will probably remain to be some of my closest here on tumblr (idk if you think of me or whatever but hey, i care about you)!

Summary: Six years ago, a kiss was shared. Now it’s time for Dan and Phil to talk about what it really meant.
- Dan was nervous. He had been looking forward to traveling back to see Phil but at the same time he was really worried he would make an idiot out of himself when it came to Phil’s friends, or that of the other YouTubers. Phil had invited Dan to the London Halloween special meet up that some YouTubers were having, and since Dan only lived an hour away from London, he obviously had said yes. Even though he had already met Phil a few weeks before, this didn’t mean Dan wasn’t scared about messing up or doing something wrong. HIs nan had made him what appeared to be a ‘bear’ costume which consisted of a fluffy t-shirt and some arm armers, she also made him some bear ears. He packed his costume into a small over night bag and started to make his journey to Wokingham train station where he would then go to London and meet Phil.
They decided they would wait until later on that night to change into full costume as neither really wanted to walk around London looking like idiots on their own, they really wanted to wait until there was more of them before looking like twats on London’s busiest streets. When Dan finally made it to London he looked around for his friend Phil, surely he would have been there soon as they planed to get in around the same time so neither of them had to wait too long on their own.
The day was planning out better than Dan had expected, he actually made a few friends int he community and a few people had seen his videos (thanks to Phil of course) It was now night and both boys had gone to Phil’s hotel room and changed into their costumes. Dan sat on the bed and waited for Phil to finish applying his cat whiskers so he could draw on the little dots on his own face to make him look more like a bear.
“Come on Phil, how long does it take you to draw some lines on your face.” he teased softly kicking his legs back and forth. Phil’s hotel room was really nice he had a big king sized bed, one of those weird long sofas, a table a mini fridge… even a tv and coffee machine.
+ “It’s called being careful with your appearance, Dan,” Phil replied, focusing just a little bit to hard on drawing imaginary cat whiskers on his face. In fact, he made sure to draw them a little bit slower. After all, Dan was being impatient and Phil really didn’t want to have to deal with that right now. Sighing, Phil quickly finished up drawing the whiskers and passed the sharpie marker over to his friend. “Please be careful.”
- “You are acting as if i am about to shove the sharpie down my throat.” he laughed lightly and got up walking over to the mirror and drew three dots on either of his cheeks and puffed his cheeks out slightly. “ yerp, i look like a twat.” he laughed lightly and moved back to look at Phil. He kind of liked how Phil was slightly taller than him, it was pretty rare he found someone taller than him. He walked back over and handed the sharpie back to Phil and smiled up at him. “ Are you sure we have to do this? i mean i don’t want to make us look like idiots.. “
+ “Yes, Dan. We have to do this. It’ll be fun, anyway. Trust me, yeah?” Phil replied confidently, turning around and smiling gently at his friend. “You’ll regret it if we don’t go today. In the future this could be a day you look back on and go ‘yeah, that happened’. So we’d better do this. Don’t worry, there’ll be so many other youtubers doing it as well, so we won’t stand out much,”
- “I look like im wearing a carpet… “ he whispered softly but headed out with him anyways. It didn’t take them too long to make it to the park they were meeting up in and as he expected everyone had their cameras out. As much as he like the idea of filming in public and doing something like this he kind of didn’t like the invaiding other peoples privacy without permission type of thing so he was constantly on the watch for any cameras looking his way.
+ Phil smiled slightly, shaking his head. “You look fine,” he muttered, right before they left. When they arrived, Phil grinned, feeling quite good about being here. After a few moments, he cautiously looked around. “You okay, Dan?”
- He nodded softly, though even though Phil didn’t leave his side at times he was worried tha tpeople were judging him harsh for being next to Phil, it was if they were trying to figure him out and he wasnt sure how to feel about that. but it was okay. “Im goood” he laughed lightly and smiled up at Phil. “ though i seriously feel more like a fanboy.”
+ He laughed, looking around at all the people, most of whom weren’t even glancing in their direction. “Aww, is Dan feeling out of his depth here?” he teased gently, before taking a few steps forward. “I wouldn’t be surprised if people saw you as a fanboy, if I’m completely honest,”
- Dan nudged him softly “well they are either going to think I’m your fanboy or you toy boy ” he smirked and nudged him with his waist slightly. “It should be okay though ”
+ “Hopefully, yeah.” Phil responded casually, determined not to make too big of a deal out of the entire situation. “I’m really glad you came with me tonight. I think I would have felt lonely on my own,”
- “Of course I would be with you ” he smiled lightly and sat down by a tree with him “I really enjoy my time with you ”
+ Phil nodded, almost lost in his own thoughts as he sat down beside the younger, looking up at all the leaves gently falling from the trees. “Wow, it’s really autumn, huh?” he said after a few moments, smiling over at Dan.
- Dan nodded softly and played with the leaves. “Isn’t it beautiful though ” he whispered leaning back against the tree. “I like it. Thank you so much for bringing me Phil. ”
+ “Says the person who didn’t want to come about ten minutes ago,” he pointed out truthfully. Phil sighed and turned to face Dan, not able to keep the smile off of his cheeks.
- Dan smiled softly and tilted his head to the side before leaning in slowly and pressing his lips to Phils.
+ Phil’s heart almost stopped beating in complete shock as their lips met. Dan’s lips were soft and warm, and Phil really wasn’t sure what he was thinking, but he shouldn’t be thinking this way. Then it was over. “Umm…”
- Dan blushed softly and pulled back “sorry ” he whispered and stood up “come on we are missing the party ” he whispered softly
+ “Y-yeah,” Phil mumbled quickly, standing up and looking over at Dan quickly, motioning for them to get back to the party. “Don’t worry about it or anything,”
- Dan smiled slightly and leaned on him for a moment “your a very good kisser ” he smiled lightly and walked back over to everyone.
+ Phil took a deep breath, readying himself before calming down and walking over to everyone, following Dan’s lead.
(QUICK JUMP TO 2015)
- Dan sighed and walked into their apartment, they had finished their show in brighton and decided they were going to go back to their flat so they could have some time for just the two of them. By the time they got home it was nearing midnight but Dan really didn’t care. “Aghhhhh so nice to be in our flat.” he groaned as he threw himself down on the sofa.
+ Phil nodded quietly. He had been meaning to bring something up recently, he just wasn’t quite sure how exactly to go about it. “Yeah… I guess…” he mumbled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, feeling slightly strange. Not a good strange.
- Dan looked up at him and tilted his head to the side, he knew something was wrong but he couldn’t really think of what it could be. “ whats wrong Phil?” he asked softly. “ I mean you don’t have to tell me but i don’t want you feeling mehhh” he sat up and patted the seat.
+ The male frowned, shutting his eyes tightly for a moment before opening them again, looking at his friend with a serious expression. “It’s just… Well…” he paused, thinking of how exactly to word this. “I’ve been thinking about that Halloween thing way back. I guess because it’s Halloween today, it caused me to think back and um… remember the, well, remember the fact that you kissed me and we never really got to talk about it,”
- Dan’s eyes widened slightly when he mentioned the kiss, he wondered why he was brinigng it up now, he though Phil regretted it which is why they never talked about it before. “ Well.. what about it? What did you want to talk about?” he tilted his head slightly.
+ “It’s just… I guess we got carried away at the party and just never talked about it. I hope you don’t think that I was mad about it or anything, because I really wasn’t,” Phil replied quietly, tipping his head to the side. “It was uh… nice I guess,”
- Dan listened to what Phil had to say. He honestly don’t remember why they never talked about it, it isn’t never came up. He just assumed Phil thought Dan was just being a fan boy or something. “It was my first kiss with a boy ” Dan replied softly. It was true he had never kissed a boy before Phil
+ Phil had to admit he was slightly surprised. “Really?” he asked gently, a small smile gracing his features as he thought about what Dan had just admitted. “I have to say, I’m glad it was my lips that took that kiss, then,”
- “You are?” He asked softly tilting his head to the side as he did “I’m sorry I ran I was scared you would reject me as your friend. ”
+ “I wouldn’t have,” Phil whispered quietly, avoiding Dan’s eyes as he talked, not wanting to see the other’s reaction. “I really wouldn’t have rejected you,”
- Dan bit his lip slightly was Phil saying as a friend or as a partner. “Well am…” He looked down at Phil and smiled softly “we could always … Kiss ”
+ Phil looked up again, shocked. “I – Well… you’d have to promise not to run away again, okay?” he asked shakily. “Please don’t run away again,”
- “Well I have no where to run ” he blushed deeply and looked over at Phil “I promise I won’t run away ”
+ “I trust you,” Phil mumbled breathily, before gently leaning forward. He hesitated a little, as if unsure, before tenderly pressing his lips to Dan’s.
- Dans eyes slowly closed and he tilted his head to the side and kissed back slowly
+ The kiss wasn’t particularly hot or anything, but it felt like heaven to Phil anyway. Carefully, he wrapped his arms around Dan’s waist, pulling back for air before kissing the other again.
- Dan wrapped his arms around Phil tight and smiled happy as he pulled back “wow ”
+ “Yeah,” Phil replied, feeling dazed and slightly out of breath. “Wow,”
- He blushed softly and wrapped his arms around Phils shoulders and smiled sweetly “what does that mean?”
+ Phil smiled, pulling Dan closer and placing his head on the other’s shoulder. “Everything,” he whispered. “It means everything. It means, wow, you’re a good kisser, you’re so pretty, I wish we had talked about this sooner and wow, I think I’m in love with you,”
- Dan blushed Phil loved him ?? “You love me ?” He asked softly and moved closer to him “why didn’t you say anything before
+ “What? Do you think I’d say that if I didn’t?” he asked, feeling like he probably shouldn’t have confessed. “It’s not exactly the easiest thing to say to your best friend, you know,”
- “I love you ” Dan repeated softly and wrapped his arms around Phils body “I love you ”
+ “Mmm. I love you too,” Phil replied quietly, sighing a little before falling silent. A thought crossed his mind and he giggled slightly. “We’re such idiots. Why didn’t we talk about this earlier?”
- “ because we were both scared the other would hate the idea … We are so silly ” he laughed lightly
+ “I guess that’s true,” Phil mumbled, smiling happily. He almost couldn’t believe that after years of loving Dan, this was actually real and it was actually happening.
- Dan moved closer to him and slowly placed his head on his shoulder contently. He had always wanted this. To be close to Phil and call him his own. “ Happy Halloween ”
+ Phil nodded, he hadn’t smiled this much in what seemed like ages. Laughing a little, he shut his eyes, just enjoying their closeness. “Happy Halloween,” he repeated, because this was the happiest one he had ever had.
