The Ace of Cups! (PS, I stole some of @oceankat8's vibes for this. I hope you don't mind!)

I decided to do both a 'clear' version and an 'antique' version.

More details below.

The Ace of Cups represents new beginnings, creative endeavors, and divine love and compassion - the universe running through you, your cup overflowing. You will need to listen to your inner voice, but that may require emotional discipline.

A reversed Ace of Cups, meanwhile, can indicate emotional instability, that you or repressing your emotions, pain, loss, or creative blocks.

In this version of the Ace of Cups, the cup is modeled after the Fenton Ghost Portal, and the streams coming from it are the five rivers of the ancient Greek underworld. The hand is Danny's and carries scars representing his new beginning. A blob ghost carrying a star is where the love is stored.

Is this tarot thing still happening @coatntails​? Well, here’s mine finally. ;P I thought Apollo’s Lyre fit the Moon card quite well, literally and figuratively. The “secret engagement”, Raoul’s misunderstandings about Christine’s feelings toward Erik, and the illusion of privacy the rooftop itself provided.

Did you know Google Streetview let’s you hop around on the Palais Garnier’s roof? Now ya do.

This is what I came up with for the Strength card in the Phantom Tarot Deck. (I’m waiting for the border to be finalized so I can add it to my drawing.)

I believe Christine is the strongest character in PotO and she saves the day through her kindness and compassion, which is why I chose to depict her holding a heart. ^.^

Calling all Phan Artists

CoatNTails here - The thought struck me over the weekend that I really wanted to see a Phantom of the Opera tarot deck. A quick google search proved that there was no such thing in existence yet. I immediately thought, well then I’ll make one, and that thought lasted all of 1.5 seconds. That’s a lot of art for one person to tackle. But how fun would it be to get other artists involved, and make a collaborative tarot deck? I put out a few feelers, and have received a lot of interest, so - Phantom Tarot is a go!

This project IS FOR FUN. All art mediums are welcome. All artists are welcome. There should be no competition, and no stress. The only point of this project is to make something beautiful and to have a good time doing it, and hopefully make some new friends in the process.

For the sake of consistency in the completed deck, I’d like to suggest that we limit our vision to within the realm of Leroux, Kay, and ALW... those three mix tolerably well.

If it sounds fun to you, but you don’t really know anything about Tarot - no problem! There are handy websites like this one: https://www.trustedtarot.com/cards/  that can give you a simple run down on the various cards. There are many resources out there to help you learn the meanings of the cards.

Which card(s) would I be in charge of, you ask? - I would really like everyone to be able to take on the card (or cards) they want most, though at the same time, I’d really like to complete at least the 22 major arcana cards. To accomplish this, please claim any card you please, but if it’s already being done by someone else, I would ask that you take on an additional unclaimed card to do as well. Currently, the cards which have already been claimed are: The Lovers, Death, The World, The Devil, and the Hanged Man. I am excited to see multiple takes on the same card, since every card can be visually interpreted so many different ways.

I’m super excited that this project is taking off, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful things that we create.

Just a few ideas for the devil card– generally some sort of obsession or trap or lost path or form of oppression, so i thought i would focus on the torture chamber and the grasshopper and scorpion
