Just out of curiosity, if I were to host a song-based bang* of Dan and Phil, would anyone be interested in that?

*A song-based bang in this case is a type of fancrafts exchange. Essentially, people would join, they would give another person a song that they'd like a fancraft of Dan and Phil to, and that person would make a fancraft of it. It would be exchanged such that each person who is doing a fancraft also receives one in return, kind of like that white elephant thing people do for Christmas.

** Keep in mind that although I have been in a few zines and bangs, including a song-based bang, I have never actually run one, so this would be kind of a process lol xD it would likely be run mainly through Discord.

#Ideally the schedule would be about a month of sign-ups. a week of figuring out whos drawing for who. and 2-3 months of work time #basically plenty of time for folks to complete their art before the deadline. abd then exchange them on that deadline #it would be extra sick to have the fancrafts exchanged/dropped the day before their last tour date!! but idk how thatd shake out #rn im just floating the idea #also I do hate to ask but mayyyybe give this a little reblog if youre interested to spread the word?#dan and phil #phan #dan howell #phil lester #phandom #fan bangs #fan exchanges #phan exchanges #phanzines #idk if any of those are tags that get regularly used but they are now!#my ramblings #polls

So we'll be posting the zine soon, and I have a favour of sorts to ask, which I'll have to post here instead of through the phanzines blog XD

The phanzines blog ( @phanzines ) was being shared between two people so Tumblr did some sort of softblocking. The messaging is gone as many would have noticed, the posts we make there don't show up in tags, the people tagged don't get the notification (I will tag all contributors from this blog instead so they can get notified, don't worry). We reached out to Tumblr help centre to resolve it but never got a response so that's that for now.

Unfortunately it does mean that we practically cannot rely on tags At All to get the work out there and we have been relying solely on reblogs+people who already follow the blog to be able to get any information and content out there.

The contributors this time have waited quite a bit for me to resolve my personal issues and get back to finishing the zine too, and I am very excited for everyone to see the glorious works we were presented with so it would mean a lot to me if people could reblog the zine and zine pages when we release them! Usually I wouldn't do the "please reblog" thing but I hate that we can't rely on tags anymore 😩

Also if there's anyone who knows how we can get Tumblr staff to notice us and give us the blog features back please advise!

I'll try to make a post through this blog linking to the post when we share the zine too, for now, we make do with the tools we have lol
