One of the three. THREE. Pharmacies in my town is shutting down. This is the largest town in a good fifth of the entire state, and is the closest option for medical care or prescriptions for several counties. Like literally there is nothing else out here. Five years ago, there were 6 different pharmacies in town, and now there are only two. This location shutting down loads multiple thousands of new patients on both of the remaining locations. Said locations are both tiny grocery-store pharmacies that were already buckling under the strain of the patients they had. The last few years have been an endless stream of delays, medication shortages, and lines that stretch all the way down an entire grocery isle, and it's about to get worse. Because there are now upwards of 20,000 people trying to use two pharmacies.
