Curious to know what you think of the Outlander lyrics when you overthink them? :P

Ugh stupid tumblr just erased everything I wrote. Nutshell version: @edenfenixblogs told me it was an actual Scottish folk song so I googled it and was pondering the words, because instead of using any of the lyrics originally recorded to go with the music, they used the chorus and one of the verses from the poem Robert Louis Stevenson later wrote. And I’m curious about why and if they are referring to specific things with “All that was good, all that was fair,All that was me is gone.” I won’t get more detailed than that because of spoilers, and maybe I’m overthinking it, but they chose that verse in particular and so my brain has been rolling that around for the last several days. And now it occurs to me I might have a more satisfying answer to my questions if I read the books.

About me

I just opened my phone's web browser history to see that last night at 4 am I googled "a brief history of Palm trees."

me: decides to "stop by" @edenfenixblogs's house for an hour or two because I'm in the neighborhood.

me: arrives and several hours fly by as we "catch up," orders TACOS, watches an episode of outlander with eden and her amazing roomie, eden and I tell each other how amazing each other are (because it's true), she helps me with all my problems in life, I help Eden with some scripts and gush about how awesome she is, I tell everyone over and over that it is the best day ever and overflow with happiness.

me: realizes I have stayed all day, leaves eden's place and arrives home at midnight.

me: has the best friend in the world
