          she had allowed her mind to wonder as crystalline orbs stared out the carriage window . images of her past danced through her mind . She was remembering her beloved sister --- her smiling freckled face and joyous laughter --- when the carriage came to a sudden halt that almost through the queen out of her seat . she was not the type to stay inside and she leaned over to open the door , sparkling heel upon the ladder so that she could descend to the dirt road . ❝ what is with all the commotion ? ❞ she speaks , which instantly gets frantic responses from her coachman and guards whom said she shouldn’t fret over it and get back into the carriage . she waves them off and goes around to see what had caused the horses to stop so suddenly .

          ❝ oh my gods ! ❞ she exclaimed when seeing the small figure upon the ground , more than likely falling back out of the way of the big hooved beasts , ❝ are you alright ? ❞ cape fluttered behind her as she bends down to help the individual up, ❝ are you injured ? ❞

“Quiet Roach,” the Witcher said as he cast Axii to calm his mare. Her prancing and pawing stopped as she let out a long breath. Something had spooked her and that made the Witcher slightly alert. He hadn’t expected to come across any beasts but then hadn’t been in the area long. He might have seen any signs but he could have accidentally wandered into a monster’s hunting grounds. Geralt couldn’t rule out bandits either. Walking away from his horse and over to where he had laid his swords, he picked up his steel sword and waited. If he needed his silver than it was in reach and he knew he would be quick enough to get it before he was attacked.
