Veranke

Powers: Shape shifting abilities like other Skrulls. Received all of Jessica Drew’s powers after a Skrull infiltration ritual including superhuman strength, reflexes, agility, senses, wall crawling, bio-electric blasts, flight and pheromone secretion.

A Skrull princess, Veranke was exiled after challenging the then-ruler Dorrek VII’s claim to the throne. After the Skrulls home-world was destroyed by Galactus she became the Skrull Empress and orchestrated the Secret Invasion.

She herself posed as Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) after capturing her at a Hydra base which was filled with Skrull sleeper agents. After posing as Spider-Woman for a while and having replaced many other superheroes with Skrull versions Veranke uploaded a virus to destroy the Helicarrier and all StarkTech, destroyed S.W.O.R.D. headquarters and laid mistrust in the superhero community.

In the Savage Land, Veranke made one last chance to crush Stark's spirit, by insinuating that he's a Skrull sleeper agent. She kisses him and tells him that he has earned her love. Black Widow attempted to kill her, only to be distracted by Skrull agents disguised as Beast and Phoenix, which Veranke slips away. After Redd Richards developed a device that could expose a Skrull’s true form Thor gathered the heroes in Central Park to fight against the invaders. Here, Veranke was shot dead by the Thunderbolts Director Norman Osborn.

Spider-Woman

Jessica Drew

Powers: Spider like abilities, including strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, toxin immunity, wall-crawling, bio-electric blasts, flight and the secretion of pheromones.

The daughter of a geneticist, young Jessica suffered uranium poisoning in 1931 and was injected with untested spider serum and sealed in a genetic accelerator in an attempt to save her. In stasis for decades, her aging greatly slowed and she awoke with no memories of her own past. Briefly cared for by the Evolutionary's cow-woman assistant Bova, Jessica sought human company in a nearby village where she accidentally killed her first lover with her new bio-electric powers. Fleeing a vengeful mob, she was rescued by Count Otto Vermis, who moulded her into the terrorist organisation Hydra's newest assassin. As Arachne, she fought S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, who revealed Vermis as a cold-blooded killer.

Jessica returned to England where Modred the Mystic helped her shake off Hydra's brainwashing. She eventually moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a bounty hunter alongside Scotty McDowell before Nick Fury helped her secure private investigator credentials. She lost her immunity power saving Giant-Man (Bill Foster) from radiation poisoning, and a battle with Morgan stranded Jessica on the astral plane until she was rescued by the Shroud, the Avengers and Doctor Strange. Later, Jessica and her friend, B-grade actress Lindsay McCabe, moved to Madripoor, where they often teamed with Wolverine.

Jessica was drawn to New York when her powers were stolen by Doctor Octopus' Spider-Woman (Charlotte Witter). Following Charlotte's defeat at the hands of Mattie Franklin, Jessica once more regained her abilities accepting an offer from Hydra while working as a double agent for Nick Fury. After seventeen months of procedures, she emerged more powerful than ever, now capable of fully flying (rather than just gliding on air currents). She later joined the avengers briefly, quitting in order to start a new life including becoming pregnant through artificial insemination.

Daken

Powers: Superhuman strength, reflexes, endurance, senses, a healing factor, control of pheromones and three retractable bone claws.

Decades ago, Itsu the pregnant, Japanese wife of James Howlett (Wolverine) was killed by the brainwashed KGB assassin the Winter Soldier (James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes). Unbeknownst to Howlett, his unborn baby survived. The baby's survival was thought to be possible by his inherited mutant healing factor. The child, later known as Daken, was abducted by the Winter Soldier and underwent training as an assassin. Recently, mutant telepath Emma Frost revealed to Wolverine that his son was alive and full of hate for him. Preparing for the inevitable confrontation with Daken, Wolverine sought the only weapon that could negate his son's healing factor, the Carbonadium Synthesizer ("C-Synth"), held by the Black Widow (Natasha Romanova). After a failed attempt to obtain the C-Synth in Brussels, Wolverine was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. Promised that he could someday confront Wolverine on open ground, Daken infiltrated a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility in Berlin to confront his parent. Finally face to face with his helpless, captive father, Daken eviscerated him, but stopped short of killing him. Daken returned to a student flat where he had been staying with an American girlfriend. Toying with her emotions, he allowed her to catch him "seducing" a strange gentleman whom he later savagely killed for his passport. Anticipating her every subsequent move, Daken secretly poisoned her wine with sleeping pills, and killed her purely for his own amusement.

Daken served on the Dark Avengers team that Normal Osborn put together, taking the name Wolverine for himself.

Daken later went to Los Angeles to build something of a life for himself. There, he tried to take over the city's criminal underworld becoming an L.A. Kingpin. After months of trying though he failed due to the powerful drug, Heat, which caused him hallucinations and burned down his healing factor. Dying, he returned to New York to "go out with a bang", drugging his father and taking him to watch his "show". He bombed the headquarters of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, installed bombs around the city, and drugged and easily subdued Mr. Fantastic. After a long battle with the heroes of the city, and without a healing factor, he started to die. Daken asked for his father, hugged him and asked him to forgive him. Before Logan could say anything, Daken said he was actually sorry for putting a bomb at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and killing himself with a bomb, leaving no body to bury. Wolverine rushed to his school to find nothing but a little doll of him, realising that Daken's plan was just to leave him with nothing.
