Apothecary Witch by IrenHorrors
Still life , Phials against blue - Wilhelm Schnarrenberger ,1955.
German, 1892-1966
Oil on canvas, 37 x 28 cm.
My name is Gnome, and I like big round bottles with nice, thick corks. I also like slender phials and big vessels with graceful necks. I only use the best bottles in my alchemy, only the finest bottles will do to hold my potions.
Also that top one definitely looks like a dick with, as @scyllastew so aptly put it, “an improvised cock ring.”
Byzantine rock crystal phial capped with gold, dated to the 12th to 14th centuries. The phial would likely have been filled with perfumes or oils. Source: Timeline Auctions.
