Misunderstood (Platonic) Phichuuri Headcanon
Phichit LOOOVE his Social Media. He always upload pictures Every Day!
Any kind of pictures. From his selfie, his adorable hamsters, food, and then came Yuuri.
Since they’re roommates, Phichit always like to include Yuuri on his selfie every time he can.
When they finally really close, and Phichit declare Yuuri as his best friend, from simple pictures he took of Yuuri, now their selfie together get more ‘intimate’. Or that’s what Phichit’s and Yuuri’s fans always thought.
Phichit respect Yuuri’s privacy. When they first time become roommates, Yuuri was worried what Phichit thought of his admiration toward Victor with not only few posters of his idol on his wall side, but also the fact that he framed Victor’s picture and put it on his desk. Phichit reassure him that he won’t think less of Yuuri, and he actually thought it was rather cute that Yuuri actually has crush on Victor. (Yuuri denied it and said it was really just admiration, but Phichit knows better).
But that’s why, when he took a pictures with Yuuri, he always try not to make Victor’s poster shown on the background. When he record his activity for his Vlog, he always try to avoid being shown with Yuuri’s side of room as the back ground. That’s why NONE of their fans know Yuuri’s beyond admiration feelings toward Victor.
When they make Video together, every time Phichit tease Yuuri about his admiration toward Victor on camera, which surprisingly very rare, none of their fans think of this beyond a skaters who look up on champion living legend skater. Especially since Yuuri barely post anything on his social media. And things he only post was like food and dog, and well, Phichit.
Phichit found out about the Phichuuri’s shipper when he actually accidentally met them when he was out alone, and they actually ask him if Phichit and Yuuri were dating. “Just curious” they said. Since then Phichit did a research about it.
Yuuri is oblivious about it (and many other things. But that’s Yuuri for you).
Phichit is smart. He’s already in college when most people on his age would still be in High School. There’s time when skaters in Detroit playing together. Truth or Dare, because, why not?
Phichit and Yuuri’s first kiss was because people dare them to kiss. It was totally very brief short innocent lips-to-lips action. It’s actually not the first time where they lips touch with each other. The first time was when Phichit climbed on an unstable chair to reach something on his bookcase. Yuuri was happen to be beside him that time. He stumble and fell on the top of Yuuri. It wasn’t romantic like any romantic movie like to show. It was painful. Their lips was bleeding a bit because their teeth was involved with the fall. Yuuri’s back and elbow was in pain. So was Phichit’s palm and wrist. Yuuri wasn’t angry, but he did lecture Phichit lightly about it. Phichit took a selfie with Yuuri right after the accident. With their lips obviously red and bruised. The Phichuuri fans exploded.
Since then, Phichit like to tease the shipper with his selfie pictures. Cuddle with Yuuri watch movie on laptop, posted. Phichit kiss Yuuri’s cheek because his best friend just give him another best present for his birthday, posted. Yuuri fall asleep on his shoulder, posted.
When Yuuri finally found out about the shipper, he was horrified. They talk about it because they were afraid if one of them is uncomfortable about it. They were fine as long as the others is fine. Phichit jokingly ask him “so~ want to date me now, Yuuri?” while wiggle his eyebrows and make Yuuri snorted and laugh with “no thank. You’re cute, but not my type”, and Phichit tease him with “oh riiight, your type was the beautiful silver hair Russian” and made Yuuri blushed with “Phichit, No! And his hair is platinum!”.
It was off season and they’re on Vacation somewhere close to the beach. The Vacation was with a lot of other skaters, but Phichit and Yuuri was the first to arrived there. Victor was called by his sponsor, so he would arrived on the day after tomorrow, while the rest of skaters would arrived tomorrow. Phichit make a joke that they’re on date. Few people who see them standing so close to each other, who doesn’t know they’re a Competitive Figure Skaters, think they’re really dating. Especially since they’re off season, Yuuri was gaining weight, and make his Ring a bit tighter, and Victor suggest him to put it on his neck with chain like a necklace. So no one see him wear a ring that time.
The whole time they hang out together, Yuuri was treating Phichit really nicely. Much nicer than usual because Yuuri felt guilty when he can’t full fill his promise of coming to Phichit’s birthday in Bangkok because of a Family Emergency. Phichit already said it was fine, and he understood, but you know Yuuri. So that day, Yuuri spoil him with everything he can. Catch him a hamster doll in claw machine game, buy him a cloud candy, pay his food when they go to cafe for lunch, and let took a lot of pictures when they go to clothes shop and try a lot of different clothes even though their first intention there was just going to buy a new winter coat.
Both of them didn’t notice someone, who coincidentally always in the same place with them, actually record their activity and post them on YouTube with title “Relationship Goal between two Asian gay man”. It goes viral.
Phichit and every other skater only found out the day Victor should arrived at noon, when one of their fans ask him if this is him with Yuuri with the link. They wasn’t sure because the video was recorded from quite far distance, and mostly showing their back or their side, so no one was sure.
Phichit was dumbfounded before he burst out laugh so hard he woke Yuuri who sleep on the second bed in the same room.
Victor definitely NOT Jealous. Nu-uh. He definitely not ask (force) Phichit to record every activities between him and Yuuri. And wasn’t intentional when he put the words “REAL” on the title of his video that he immediately post soon as he can when the video finished captured a lot of lovely sweet moments between him and Yuuri.
Poor the uploader of the first Video when people who finally know who the two Asian men, comment their video with “change the title” “you’re mistaken” “yuuri is engaged with someone else” “they’re just best friend” was so embarrassed and apologize to both Phichit and Yuuri.
Both Phichit and Yuuri reassure them that they don’t have to delete the video, but maybe just change the title or something.
