So I’m writing a research paper about the animation industry in the Philippines, and I’ve come to realize that the solutions I’m proposing won’t work because the country’s problem is it’s entire traditional foundation.
With this, I’ve also cracked the problem to the country’s lack of innovation––Filipinos are brainwashed conditioned from a young age to support their parents when they grow up. This means going to stable jobs (medicine, IT, etc.) and doing away with risky jobs like those in the creative industry.
I’m not saying it’s wrong, we just have find a way to adjust the two.
“It is hereby encripted on this series a point-of-view I very well know to be shared by a majority of my species to be unsatisfyingly annoying and should be heard by ourselves. Both unknowingly and willfully, may it be seemingly innocuous or regrettably poignant crimes against common decency/sense, etiquette, and what’s left of humanity will be punished by words and it alone. If by any chance you fear that you have committed the crimes mentioned throughout it will be proper to cease doing it immediately (May the gods have mercy on your wretched soul if you do not). Help mankind advance to where it needs to be.
P.S. I do not hate the people doing it, just the criminal act. We can never know why they are doing it. It would not be fair to them. Good reading.”
2. Jeepney Life
Those "barkers" that keep on letting people squish their butts to oblivion just so the jeepney can leave the waiting line. - Contrary to stupid belief, PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT BUN SIZES. "Siyam-an po ito, konting usog lang ho para magkasya." Nine people?! We're only eight here and I think my hip joints going to dismantle. You don't even have to mind me, I'm used to your arrogance. But what about the older and frailer people? Sometimes I just want to punch someone on the face so they could feel how much a pain (literally and figuratively) in the ass they are for me on a daily basis. I know you are trying to make a living, but for the cost of our comfort? Which we pay for? I can't amass a fair judgement there.
Commuters that has the voice of an amoeba when saying "Para po.". - I wince every time I hear people like this. Then they'll get mad because they went far from there stop. A jeep is noisy by itself; the wheels' screech, an engines purr, the kinds of honks (beep, boop, bap, hing hong, tetereretet and so on.) it makes, don't even get me started with the passengers'. BUT NO, YOUR MIND ENDS WITH A CONCLUSION THAT YOU'LL BE HEARD WITH THAT MERE SQUEAK OF YOURS. Some people do it to act cool, they forget that they also look like an imbecile.
This is why religion gets on my cynically adulterated (wrong) side.
Here in the Philippines Lady Gaga would have a concert. I am not a fan of her music nor even listen to her absurd taste in doing it. Although, I respect her purpose. It is her life, I would not care to what she drives it into. I can easily tweak my everyday life to pass and skip her music when it bombards my daily routine on "MTV" or "MYX", even when jeepney passengers beside me have it on full burst I will just get far away from them as possible. But the gist of why I am disappointed is because the religious leaders of our country refuses of letting her concert ensue. That is wrong, if they think it is provocative and mocks whoever saint they know then they could make it PG-18. (May I remind you that I will never go to a concert of hers, I am not on her side. Just defending her plight.) Still, do the necessary actions, but to the point of cancelling it? Give me a break.
They even say that her song "Judas" is mocking Jesus Christ. I listened to it right before I started writing this. What's wrong with it? Albeit my eyes flinched a few times throughout the song and had to pause it midway to keep my sanity, it was not all entirely trash. Every artist has their best and worst creations, but neither could represent what they are.
More so, to those stereotypical religious men, Judas is not the enemy many people deem to believe. Without him Christ's mission would not have been fulfilled. He was necessary for our salvation. Can you imagine Christianity without the perennial sign of the cross? (The cross was given birth when He was crucified.) If He was never betrayed and consequently crucified do you think our religion is complete? Amen?
