This spectacular Grand Seiko Kodo Constant-Force Tourbillon is a one-of-a-kind piece created for a Phillips charity auction on December 11th. The watch has a 43.8 mm case in Brilliant Hard Titanium, a proprietary alloy of the brand, brighter and silvered. In addition to the case material, the unique piece is distinguished by gilded and thermally blued movement elements. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Children's Heart Foundation. . The spectacular George Daniels’ Spring Case Tourbillon in Yellow Gold was sold today by Phillips for USD 4,092,075, the highest price ever achieved for a watch by a British maker! Daniels only made two unique wristwatches for his own personal use; one of these being this exact novel double-dialed spring case watch with one-minute tourbillon and calendar, completed in 1992. Also, the yellow gold Anniversary, part of a 35-piece limited edition, sold for USD 694,455; the yellow gold Millennium, part of a 48-piece limited edition, is still to be offered. .
