6, 11! :)
Thank you, @philtruum!
6: Biggest adult decision ever:
I always knew I wanted to raise children, but making the decision to get married and have kids changed everything for me. The ripples from that decision are unending.
11: List your kids from most tolerable to least tolerable based on the past 24 hours.
They are both tied for awesome, since they both checked in with me last night. They also both sent memes and cute animal photos, so they’re basically perfect.
(Questions here.)
Happy birthday, Dad of The Internet!!! Keep dadding away! 🐸
Hi, @philtruum. Thank you so much! I’m really more of an absentee father, but I’ll take the kind words!
Tell us about bug-studier!
I worked at I.C.I.P.E. in Kenya on a four-month research project. I was an undergrad, but somehow managed to convince the institute and a charitable foundation in Boston that I could both help out and contribute something of my own. Like most things, it was a total adventure filled with joy and terrible misadventure. I had all my photos developed as slides, so I don’t have anything digital to show.
I had some cool offers to study entomology in grad school, but I took that fork in the road towards playing in punk bands. I don’t know if that was the right decision, but I’m pretty happy appreciating insects in my own way these days.
@room42 I was studying phlebotomine sand flies. I don’t remember the species, but it was one that spread leishmaniasis.
I follow you because you're a sweet vetblr, with enough diverse content to be informative and aesthetically pleasing but also with some non animal content. Also I love that you have your personal posts here, it makes you relateable. <3
Oh. What an unexpected and wonderful message.
Thank you so very very much.
It's been a long time, how are you, friend?
In regards to the anon having trouble studying - what worked for me is deciding precisely the time of the day when studying will occur, surrounding myself with things I love and inspire me, if I dread a subject or a lesson, I switch to one I like more and then later come back to the dreadful one, if you like music make a long cosy playlist, watching youtube videos of the topic, trying to make the lesson look more visually appealing (markers, colours), talking to someone about it.. You can do it!
this is all what i do and didnt really think/know how to say so thank u so much!! good luck lil anon
