Friend phoenix, I see your fire glow. It burns bright with your soul, and lights up the surrounding dark. You've kept it burning for ages despite anything the world has used to try and put it out. Your wings bring wildfire down on those that would oppose you. The crackling of your flames know no defeat. You've made it through everything so far, and I know you will continue to do so even when your hope is low and the fire feels small. You rise with the flames and up from ash; You can't be defeated. Never forget your power and strength. It's beautiful, and it's yours, forever.

hi! is it possible to request some kin positivity/validation regarding my phoenix kintype? (if not, it’s ok!)

being a phoenix is just really inconvenient most of the time since… fire. and I couldn’t really interact with other people properly without taking a human form (which isn’t really the most comfortable thing to be honest)

While I can’t fully relate to you, I understand your struggle, and I’m sorry, it really sucks ]: I wish there’s a translator thingy so that you wouldn’t have to go human form just to talk to people </3 maybe one day it’ll be a thing,,,, who knows But like, auhhhh you’re so epic and fire !! Like, THAT phoenix? That absolutely amazingly gorgeous bird?? Woah !!

Why Do I Say I’m Phoenix-kin?

This pertains to the mythical bird, not the character. This is a personal essay, that takes artistic liberty in that I describe my phantom sensations and other feelings poetically. 

Phoenix is of fire. Phoenix is of light. When I open my core, I can feel the heat energy, the warmth, the flames, the bright, blinding sun. 

I can feel my wings. They are soft, downy and thick. They are like angel wings. I used to think I was an angel, but angels don’t have beaks, talons, or a head-crest. Angels do not have two dangling tail feathers. I used to believe I had two-lion tails--yet they are not made of fur, but made of shining plumage.

Phoenix is in a constant state of flux, and rebirth. Rising from the ashes, living one way, then burning the old and rising again, anew. 

Phoenix is not a fantasy, and phoenix is not momentary. Phoenix is always here, always me. I can feel my wings, my eagle-like beak, my crest and my tail feathers. Sometimes I just feel my wings, but deep down I know the rest is there.

Phoenix is a healer, and I often feel my wings most present in medical buildings. 

Most of all, phoenix is me. I am a phoenix. I am a mythical bird that’s very real here.
