for context this message was sent in a memes channel in a server I'm in, intentionally made to look like a genuine warning message from discord (it isn't, the link is a youtube link, likely a fucking rickroll or something else stupid)

I know that in the wake of discord pulling some fuckshit we're all making jokes to deal with the worry but this genuinely has the possibility to cause genuine harm to someone, yes for only like 0.3 seconds initially because once they click the link and get sent to youtube they'll (hopefully) know it isn't real, but this could cause a genuine panic response in someone (it did for me because I first saw it on mobile and can't hover over links on mobile) that is incredibly difficult to come down from. Deal with discords dystopian bullfuckery however you want but for the love of all that is holy unholy and otherwise celestial don't risk giving random people on the internet panic attacks just for the sake of your joke.

No, but really. Well, I don’t really have the spoons to sit down and fully yap about. It , High potential is fucking insane and if you have the ability to watch it, please do. I am desperate for a second season there’s wholesome family dynamics, realistic depictions of motherhood is a working parent, fantastic platonic and romantic tension between various characters and really snappy writing and is really funny in that specific way that daytime TV crime show is always are.
